a good point! i’ll admit, i’m always a sucker for lore, but i also wholeheartedly believe that including all of that stuff really wouldn’t have worked for BL because it would have taken the narrative focus away from dimitri’s very excellent emotional arc. school has been keeping me busy lately so i haven’t had much chance to play through any of the other routes (i’m only a few chapters into my golden deer run), but i really loved how simple BL was - dimitri may not have any grand plans for fodlan like edelgard and claude do, but everything he does, he does for the sake of his kingdom and his people.

as i’ve said before, yes some special permissions are in order when going out alone, but unlike a service animal, voca’s can travel out and find their way home relatively easily and by themselves. Like if a Miku wanted to go to the park and play with a Rin, then she should be able to do that without their master. 

a sad but true reality, those poor poor poor poor voca’s having to wait for their master to feed them... even though they could just make their own food or go outside and charge in the sunlight or charge in their little charging bed.
