kk so i was doing the thing where i create a whole bunch of scenarios in my head and this popped up so i had to write it before i forgot about it

~draco~

I tapped my foot impatiently while waiting for y/n to get to class. I kept threading my hand through my hair and putting my hand in my pocket, fiddling the ring box nervously as if it was going to disappear the moment she walked through the door.

I had already talked to the class, and told them to get there 30 minutes early because i was going to propose. They all loved y/n, she had some sort of charm on them so they happily agreed. Blaise and Pansy, our best friends, kept smiling and looked as jumpy as i did. Blaise walked over, and patted me on the shoulder.

“Relax man, she loves you! She’s sure to say yes. calm down.” I nodded at him, relaxing a bit at his words.

The desks were parted in neat rows across the classroom, and i had them arranged so there was an empty row in the middle where i’m standing. Sort of like a church, where people would walk through the middle.

“She’s coming!” A gryffindor peeked around the corner and scrambled to his seat.

I took a big breath. This is it! I’ve never been more nervous.

I walked to class 20 minutes before we were supposed to. Draco had said he wanted to talk to me, which was odd but i trusted him. I walked in to class to see everyone staring at me, with draco standing in the middle of the room with a soft smile on his face.

“y/n,” draco breathed, smiling when he looked at you.

“H-hi? What’s wrong?” You looked around to see everyone staring at you, in a classroom, 20 minutes early. Even pansy was there, and you usually had to drag her out of bed last minute.

He walked towards you slowly, a smile on his face but he looked nervous.

“Y- you love me right?” He looked you in the eye, asking you a question you thought was stupid.

“Of course i do! I’m suprised you don’t know that yet.” You walked over and cupped his face, giving him a light kiss. “I love you. Forever.” You smiled, and watched his eyes light up as he took the opportunity of your words.

“Forever?” “yes...” Draco grinned and slipped a box from his pocket, getting down on one knee. “Wanna make that final?”

He opened the box, and showed a gorgeous ring with a diamond fixed onto it. It must’ve been at least 1,000 galleons. You stumbled back as if the ring had pushed you.

“My love... will you marry me?” You gasped as tears sprung to your eyes, your hands slapping over your mouth.

This was it. The question was out. The whole class stared at you anxiously, draco’s smile slowly wavering at your lack of response.

“yes.” It was so quiet, but draco heard you. He sprung to his feet, and stared at you, wide eyed.

“yes?” “yes.” The whole class burst into clapping and whistling. He jumped excitedly over to blaise.

“Yes! Blaise she said yes!” Blaise laughed, looking at him. “I know. i-i was there.”

Draco seemed to miss Blaise’s sarcasm, and pulled the ring out of the box carefully. He walked over to you, where you were still frozen in place with your hands over your mouth and tears threatening to spill out of your eyes.

He carefully grabbed one of your hands, and slid the ring on. It slid on perfectly, magically adjusting to your size. He held your hand to inspect the ring, tilting it to watch it shine before he decided that it was good enough.

He dropped your arm and looked at your teary face, and pulled you in. That’s when the tears fell from your eyes, the whole class erupting again as you let out a sob into his chest. He was yours. forever.

He laughed and tilted your chin up, wiping a tear from your eye just like he always would. Except this time it was a happy tear. He kissed you softly and let you go, tugging your hand to lead you to his dorm.

“But we have class...” You looked up at him with doe eyes. “I don’t care. Let’s take a day off, hm?”

You sniffed and smiled, nodding. “wait.”

You let go of his hand, and walked over to pansy. You gave her a hug, which she gladly returned. “I can’t believe this is real...” She just laughed, and just replied, “better start believing.”

You gave her a final squeez and walked over to Blaise. He enveloped you in a brotherly hug, kissing the top of your head. “My baby’s all grown up...” you heard draco laugh and pansy giggle besides you. You laughed into his chest and pulled apart.

“Blaise... are you crying?” He glared down at you, tears in his eyes. “Are you?”

You laughed, pulling from the hug. “fair point.”

You jumped over to Draco and grabbed his hand, where he happily pulled you away.

in his dorm

You flopped back onto his bed. “I have a fiancé!” You’ve always loved how that word sounded, and you could finally use it.

Draco pouted, leaning against the door as he watched you. “Excuse me? forgetting someone?”

You giggled, and got up to pull him to the bed. You flopped back onto it the same time he did, yelling with him, “I have a fiancé!”

“Better.” You laughed as draco pulled you up and put you on the bed, snuggling in next you you.

You leaned into his shoulder as he curled a hand around your waist. You put your head up, laying your arm around his shoulder and threading your hand through his blond locks as your other hand layed on your lap, entwined with his. You peppered little lazy kisses across his neck and jawline. When you got tired of that, you snuggled your head into the crook of his neck, him pulling you closer.

“I love you.”

“I love you too.”

“Forever.”
