RED LIPSTIQUE - DRAC'S BACK
In 1983, the year after her first single release, Elvira released this album of Halloween-themed songs sung by other people. She comments at the beginning and ending of each side of the record, much like she did on her show Movie Macabre, but she does not sing on this album. It includes a couple of familiar tracks, like "Monster Mash" and "Purple People Eater," but most of the songs I had never heard before. My favorite track is this disco-flavored tune by a band called Red Lipstique. Apparently Red Lipstique was a nom de plume for the British punk/comedy band The Bullock Brothers who are most famous for their song "Harley David (Son of a Bitch)."
This album is subtitled "(Vol. 1)" but as far as I know there was never a volume 2.
