I made another thing (yeah I couldnât help myself but this one is shorter I think. I hope you like it!) I just. Brain fire.

may we hear about the yaogui attack :0 (apologies if i didn't spell it right gbhdg)
It happened during Huaguoshan's heyday...and a group of
(Also I suck at linking things Iâm so sorry.)
Liu crossed out the line on the parchment before him, splashing ink onto the stone beneath his feet in an frustrated spray.
âNo that doesnât sound right either!â He gritted his teeth, growing frustrated. General Liu, one of the Four great Generals of Flower- Fruit mountain and friend to its King Sun Wukong, had a dilemma.
He set the brush down, still getting used to holding it in his hands. Wukong makes this look so easy! But things of the unmonkey nature came easily to Wukong- how could they not ? He had mastered the mysterious arts that had given him such power, had defeated the demon who had first claimed Water- Curtain Cave in his absence (and more beside.) Wukong had walked among the men of the world and had claimed treasure from dragons.
Wukong would be able to hold a brush with ease and write words with a steady hand. The general tugged at his fur and looked about himself. Rolls of parchment lay about him like discarded rinds of watermelons. All the failed attempts to transcribe what his heart was trying to speak. He tugged more, hairs coming free.
When Wukong spoke of his experience in the world abroad their mountain, he had mentioned how the important people within that strange world of mortals and immortals would communicate through scrolls and parchment.
âIt was too quiet at times for my liking!â He reminisced once, splashing some wine as he gesticulated upon his throne. âWhat silence! What needed to be written that couldnât be communicated with a clear voice?â He would then call for one of the troop of his subjects to retell a story, for Wukong loved the telling of a yarn through voice and act.
Liu had understood why one would want words written down however. The things he wanted to say- to tell- either fled him like mist before the sun or stuck in his throat like a peach stone. The Marshal scratched behind his ear, brushing the notched edge and remembering. Remembering her.
Rin Rin.
Liu had never been one for such deep hesitation as he was now. In all the Aolai country, among and betwixt the unicorns and the phoenixes who preened and called themselves the most beautiful, where the leopards and the tigers roamed and boasted their own majesty, Liu had faced all that threatened his home with bravery. He loved this mountain, from every blade of grass to every luminous stone deep in Water-Curtain Cave. He thought none of the beasts or birds or celestial bodies in Heaven was more beautiful than his home.
Except Her.
He wanted to tell her. Tell Rin Rin how she rivaled all the clouds in heaven for her softness. How no flower could compare to her eyes and how they shined like the sea when the sun hit it. Her smile could make the trees cry and her anger could chase the stripes off a tiger.
Liu was afraid. Not afraid of her. Afraid to miss this opportunity! His tail lashed and sent a bit of paper skittering over the stone floor, knocking into several stone bowls of almonds.
The mountain was a paradise. The waterfall that crashed beyond, the pine forests that dotted the slopes where their needles spiced the air. He had faced tigers and demons, fought and thrown himself into situation after situation of danger without a second thought for himself.
Now he was hesitant. He acted as he had on that day Wukong had found Water- Curtain cave: hesitant. Marshal Liu had not been hesitant since that time- so why had he returned to this state ?
Liu looked down at the paper and groaned.
âI just want to tell her how beautiful she isâŚâ
Steps approached from outside Liuâs room.
âSo this is where youâve been!â Wukong called, stepping into the room with a frown on his face. âI have been waiting for you in the Throne room for hours! Sentries have spotted what look to be the makings of a camp. We have a troop of creatures lurking in the shadow of our mountain and I need my Generalsâ what is all this stuff ?â
Liu didnât bother to cover up his failings- he just lay his head on the stone table and glared at the brush.
âYou only called for a meeting a few minutes ago, my king.â He replied from the table.
âMinutes- hours. It has been too long! What have you been up to in here?âWukong picked up a paper scroll, the feathered crown on his head bobbing.
âYou are as pretty as a ⌠hmm. You never finished this one Liu!â
Liu moved his face to flatten into the stone table, feeling his cheeks burn and his ears itch. Of course my king would start reading them.
Shuffling paper noises sounded again as Wukong picked another scroll up.
âMy heart becomes a candle when you are nearââ he frowned. âYou crossed out the rest in a mess of black.â
Liu wished he could dissolve into the stone.
âYou smell as sweet as a magnolia flower- your eyes are the shape of stars ââ
âPlease My King.â He begged. âSpare me.â
âYou wrote them Liu! I am only reading.â
âAnd I ask for mercy, please.â
âSeems youâve had trouble finishing whatever you were trying to say.â Mused the Sage.
âNone of the words formed well enough on the paper.â Marshal Liu sighed. There came a shuffle and a brush beside him. He lifted his head to see Wukong had crossed his legs beside him, a shoulder companionably against Lius. The Monkey King twirled the brush between his fingers, unrolling a new scroll of parchment.
âIf I help you Write your love poem to Rin, Will you stop mooning so sadly ?â Wukong cocked a brow at his general, side eyeing him in a way only a friend could.
Marshal Liu felt his pride pricked, just a bit. âI donât know what you mean.â
âLiu- you have been my friend for countless years. Longer than most monkeys usually live.â Wukong dipped the brush into the inkwell, checking the ink stone and grimacing at its diminished size. âI know you from the tips of your ears to the ends of your fur. We have fought and bled side by side. You may be a master at strategy and planning but. My friend.â
Wukong turned his whole face to stare at Liu. âYou suck at hiding how in love you are with Rin Rin.â
The Marshal sat up, opened his mouth to defend, to deflect â
Wukong, Great Sage Equal to Heaven, waited. His face set in a neutral and very are you really going to argue with me? expression.
Liu closed his mouth, tugged at his fur and set his chin on the stone table. âShe makes me feel soâ-â
âMhm.â
âSheâs soâ!â
âMhmâŚâ
âI just canât get the words out!â The Marshal admitted finally. âEach time I start to tell her, I freeze. Iâve tried so many times!â
When Rin and He had shared a sweet patch of strawberries he had tried to say how he loved her.
When Rin had been tending to a scratch on his face, chiding and reprimanding him for his recklessness again. Her anger had made him want to hold her and reassure her that he was fine.
When they had decided to stay out late, tails curled together as they counted the stars. Liu had wanted to compare her to each one.
And each of these times his words had either fled him or had refused to come out.
âAnd you thought to write them out because they keep getting stuck.â
Liu nodded.
âGive me the words and Iâll write them down.â Wukong set the tip, ready. âIf I write this for you, then will come and put your mind back to keeping our mountain safe?â
Guilt itched beneath his fur. âMy King i'm sorryââ
A affectionate rub of Wukongs head against his own shut the general up as the king tugged at his ear in play.
âLiu. I may not understand the power of what you are feeling,â Wukong cut off, tail thumping against the Marshals âbut that doesnât mean your feelings arenât important. And ⌠seeing you so distressed makes me distressed. I can help my friend in this simple task at least.â
Liu felt a warmth well from him. For all his Kings boasting and prideful proclamations, Wukong cared for each of his subjects - even in the face of his incomprehension. He would do what he could to ease his friends, his subjects, his families struggles. Wukong began to write as Liu began to speak, his face warm and his hands slowly beginning uncurl from his fur.
After just an hour with Wukongs transcribing and Liu describing, the confession was complete. Liu clutched the scroll and strapped it to his side.
He had been able to attend the Council with a lighter heart and a smile on his face. The discussion and the plans to increase patrols along the pine forest to the west of Flower Fruit Mountain had been unanimously agreed upon as the troubling information came to light.
The scouts' reports had indicated that there had been activity - a half made campfire kicked over and cold with bones from what looked like a small deer- not a few leaps and bounds from the slopes. Liu had frowned at the description of the tracks- five footed, fur and the scent of musk in the air. Another band of Monkeys ⌠but they seem to be scouting us as well.
When Liu had this brought to attention, an immediate patrol had been sent out to gain more information on how many may be circling their home. The unspoken kept being danced around but all in that council chamber had a suspicion. Demon MonkeysâŚ.
Until they knew further who and what they were facing, Wukong wouldnât risk a war troop to prowl the nearby hills and leave the rest of his family and people exposed.
Liu had a bit of time beneath the growing moon of night to find Rin Rin now. Before his nerves left him. Wukongs handwriting had made the words look better, flow better, feel better to the Marshals eyes. His King had sat through his flowery language, and had written it all diligently if with a little bit of snorting at times. (âDonât compare her to pine nuts!â âBut she smells of the pines and the wood and everything I love!â ââŚ. But pine nuts ?â)
If his words failed him, Liu had them written down. If they stuck in his throat, he could pull them apart with the help of his letter. His heart was thumping, his fur was sticking out a bit as electric nerves rolled on his skin. Liu was in full armor having come from council, and it jangled softly in the night air. But it was a comforting jangle- a separate staccato rhythm against his body.
As the moon rose outside of Water-Curtain Cave casting the spray in silver light, Liu gazed out. Some other monkeys mingled in the cooling air enjoying the clear night. Tending to loved ones by either grooming fur, sharing ripening fruits from the many orchards across the vast mountain, or cuddling down in the soft grasses to gaze upward. Liu greeted each in turn, butting heads or brushing hands. Pride welled in him, making Liu stand taller. This was his home- his family. The peace they lived in was hard won and protected by their King and his Marshals- and that peace was precious.
A small bundle of babes shot past, one carrying a lychee fruit as a prize to be kept from the others. A pair of older simians gazed into the waters of the pool, leaning into each other. Liu would fight a thousand demons, all the celestial beings in the world, to keep this peace. He would tame dragons and pull the moon down from its boughs in Heaven to preserve this peace.
Liu turned, green eyes seeking. There, just beneath the pomegranate tree overlooking a mossy spray of water, he spotted the cloud gray of Rin Rin. Even in the shadow of the tree he could see her moon flower perched behind her ear, the fur perfectly groomed in wonderous swirls. He wished he had a bouquet of moonflowers to bring her or a cup of tea to present to her. He wanted to come bearing gifts and to tend and tidy her hair and weave flowers throughout it.
He came bearing his heart instead.
Said heart thumped against his chest. Steady Liu.
Liu took a moment to groom his finger through his fur, his tail, and to dust at his armor. He grabbed at a small patch of pine needles, snapping them between fingers and briefly rubbing the tips over his fur. He wanted to look his best to smell his best to be his best.
Then, gathering himself and tapping the scroll's top at his hip, Liu straightened and stepped forward.
He would tell her how much she meant to him. He would show her how much she was worth to him- between the words he had been able to wrangle and place onto a page.
Liu would never get the chance to unwind that scroll however. The night air that had been full of gentle chatter and warm conversation was broken by screams as the mountain's peace was shattered into a thousand screams of fury and fear rang off the mountain.

Youâve never regretted killing anyone, but right now, this is the closest youâve gotten. If you never killed her, if youâd never gotten involved with her, would she have gone back to space and taken dragonmom with her?
You take a deep breath, pulling out a solid metal halberd, dented and battered from ruthless endurance training, and stick it blade first into the ground. Itâs blunt, it wasnât for killing after all, but itâs easy to pierce the ground with the weight and your strength alone.
âI really wish you hadnât been like you were, Altira.â
You sigh, sitting down cross-legged and staring at your own reflection in the metal. Itâs blurred enough that when you squint, you could pretend that your horns were the lower set of hers, that if sheâd taken that eyepatch off, sheâd have the same symbol in the same eye too. You wonder why she hid it. No one knew what it even meant.
âWhen I was training with you, it really felt like I was actually working towards getting stronger. And now Iâm back to this lull. Iâm just listless and lost, as always... Thereâs no one that makes me feel like I might lose. Itâs nice to not feel fear, but I miss the adrenaline.â
You look into the distance, seeing as far as you can with your vision. Was that from where the gun shot the bullet that let you deal the killing blow was from? Where she lost her vision. Was it even a fair win with two other players involved?
...You suppose it didnât matter whether it was fair or not. She needed to die, even if your sense of pride would have preferred you did it alone.
âYou were always scheming, always planning... But maybe youâd have some plan for what to do now. Even if you didnât know that your lusus was some sort of... powerful deity of nature, youâd probably be doing something and not just watching the world burn.â
You check your phone, scrolling through the diagrams Rennra had sent you to keep track of where the destruction was being wreaked. It felt like only a matter of time until cities youâd visited, cities youâd lived in, cities where people you knew lived... they would be gone too. Could you really just sit and wait until the day she came for you and Rennra?Â
âOr maybe you would, maybe youâd be doing it too. You had no problem with destruction. But even what you did to their village pales in comparison. But youâd be doing something. Taking advantage of it, or something...â
You lean forward, your head pressing against the cold metal of your weapon, a small smile coming to your face.
âI wonder if my brother would be mad at me for even wanting guidance from someone like you again, Jaws. It kind of pisses me off to think about too.â
So... I'm spending Christmas alone and I have time on my hands. Thought I'd take some one word fic prompts. Send me a word and I'll write a quick destiel Drabble!
Warnings: Fluff (b/c we all need somebody to tell us where cute and listen đ.)
A/n: Just a little short drabble I wrote last week.(everybody was on straight ass and I needed to feel better so this happened.) I hope y'all like it!

It was supposed to be a realxing night. Nothing but stars covering the dark blanket of the night sky. Small chopped cheeses and cheap botteled wine.
But you got a little frugal with the wine. One moment you where laying across Bucky's cheat, head laying aganist the thud of his heart beat as he wrapped with his arms around you. And the next you where singing at the top of your lungs.
More like screeching really.
Work was nontheless tough this week. Bucky had the idea after you came home on Thursday night clearly beaten down from the long day you endured. A little wine and star gazing, slow hands touching each other softly. He wanted you to unwind and forget about the long work week you had.
And unwind you did.
One moment Bucky was pouring you a glass of wine, mumrming to you how he loved having alone time with you. And the next you had taken over the bottle.
"I love you Buck." You speached slurred a little bit but your confession was one hundred percent true.
"I know Y/n, I love you to." He spoke out. Sometimes it scares me how much I do."
"Love is sooo Dangerous right ?"
"It can be. But it's worth it." Bucky wipped some left over crumes from your food from the corner of your mouth. Loving you was scary at first. He never thought he would have someone who loved him just for him.
"I'm so in love with you. You set me free. I can't do this thing called life without you here with me.' You threw your head back belting the lyrics of the song.
Bucky couldn't help but laugh at your singing. "Nice pipes babe. That was good."
"You think so! " You sat up quickly stumping to the ground off the hood of the truck.
You stumbled around a little bit more flinging your arms out sticking them staright out to your sides..
"Cause I'm dangerously in love with you (in love with you) I'll never leave." You made your way towards the back of the truck. Pulling yourself into the bed.
"Y/n come on. You can't stand in the truck bed you might trip." Bucky reached out for you but you didn't budge.
"Im- I'm perfectly fine Buck." *Hicup* "You worry to much." You swayed a little as you stumbled towards the end of the truck bed. Bucky caught your arm quickly bringing you to your feet.
You stumbled a little bit more.. your slight buze was completely gone now. You where now full on hammered.
"I think we should call it a night."Â Bucky usherd you into the truck. Buckiling your seat belt pulling it extra tight so you wouldn't sway anywhere else.
He walked over to the drivers side reving the engine up. You scooted over on the truck bench leaning your head into his side. Soft music played as you all took the windy road back home.
You sobberd up a little bit on the long ride back home. Your drunken state wore off enough so you could admire the man beside you.
"I love you Buck. " Bucky glanced to his side watching as your heavy eye lids began to shut.
"I love you to sweetheart." He peked the top.of your head with a kiss "I'll always be there to carry you home no matter what."

Despite your incessant messaging, that was the only message Rennra had sent to herald his arrival. Of course you hadnât seen anything, you didnât give a damn about what propaganda the empire wanted to shove in your face again, but when Rennra appeared at the edges of your vision, flustered and panicked looking, appearing as if he had ran all the way from his work a few hours away, you started to wonder if maybe youâd made a mistake.
âAe-Aelynn- Itâs her-â He was out of breath by the time he reached the top floor of the abandoned looking building where you greeted him, reaching forward to grab his hand and pull him up the last few steps to avoid him collapsing face-first on the landing.
Guiding him for a moment back into the relative privacy of your room, he tried to talk while somewhere between catching his breath and hyperventilating, resulting in nothing but an incoherent mess of sounds that you gently tried to hush. His panic was infectious though, the both of you collapsing on the ground in front of the TV as Rennra fumbled to operate both that and his tablet with violently trembling fingers.
---
Ten minutes later, and you had more information around you than you knew what to do with, and a grave expression on your face. On the TV, clips of footage played on loop, the normal drone of a disinterested newscaster now sounding like she was barely concealing the urge to cry - or scream - or both - as she voiced over the footage, distant videos of destruction beyond what youâd ever seen before, and a silhouette that looked familiar, a close up camera briefly before getting incinerated, the sheer panic, the abnormality of the space.
Rennra was following satellite views on his tablet, immediately having reverted back into his state of needing to try and keep track of everything, fighting hard against the tremors and the sweat leaving marks on the screen, following the trail and get a good view. Your hand sat on his shoulder as the only comfort you could provide while hypnotised by the flickering screen, while he spoke aloud, trying to keep track of his thoughts.
âI just wanted... I just wanted a few years of something stable!â
âOf actually getting to have a guardian, of not having to feel like I wasnât going to be abandoned!â
âI donât want to believe itâs Dragonmom. She wouldnât do this, she was gentle - kind!â
âAm I cursed so that anyone that actually wants to help me just ends up getting caught up in some awful shit where I donât even get to know whatâs happening?!â
You can tell itâs her. This was the form sheâd first approached you in for the first time after all, it was immediately distinct, even without the closer shots, it wasnât hard to tell. But you didnât want to confirm what Rennra already knew when he was trying to comfort himself like this.
âTheyâre trying to kill her! But of course they are, sheâs probably killed hundreds now, even thous-âÂ
Rennraâs voice cracked, halting his sentence mid-word, a flicker of anger passed through his eyes, and without even thinking he tossed his tablet full force across the room.
A sharp intake of breath as you realise what he did, and you throw yourself across the room, halfway between a leap and a flashstep, just managing to catch the tablet before it hit a chair screen first. You didnât care for technology like that, but you knew how protective Rennra was of this, and even you couldnât deny its usefulness.
By the time youâd fumbled it safely into a secure grip and stood up straight again, Rennra had curled into a ball, his head against the floor. You could see them, but even without your vision, you could tell he was crying, his teeth gritted painfully.
âI should be concerned about the people. About the bases there. About everything thatâs being lost. About if I can return to work tomorrow. I should be concerned that it looks like sheâs wiping out any trolls she can find.â
You donât want to shake him. You donât know what he needs to hear. Your voice is barely above a whisper as you ask what he is concerned about, as if he might shatter like glass if you speak too loudly.
â...Isnât she supposed to look after us? Isnât that what she said, after what Altira did? What was the meaning of her even giving her this gift if sheâd just turn on trolls and abandon everything?!â
You canât reply this time. Rennraâs fist hits the floor, small crystals starting to grow around where it landed. He doesnât seem to notice, but you do. Itâs a small detail, but itâs showing that heâs not in control of himself.
âShe said that the future was meant to be bright! What the fuck is this? This is just a bunch of death and meaningless ruin! You donât just get to leave and do this!â
You open your mouth, to suggest that there must be some reason, but before you can finish, he interrupts you, standing up faster than youâd seen him move before and covering the distance of the room in a couple of steps, a face of thunder youâd never seen from him before.
He grabs your shirt collar, his knuckles white, yanking your shirt as he tries to pull you off balance. âNOTHING can justify this! You havenât seen how far itâs spread!â
The room falls silent.
The quiet sound of static from the television is the only thing that fills the tense air. There are tears running down Rennraâs face as his grip on you relaxes, eventually letting you go as his expression returns to despair from rage.
âIâm sor-â
âIâll find her.â
You look down at the tablet in your hands, looking down at the map leading to the end of the destruction so far. You know this city, although itâs very far. Somewhere you passed as a child in the carnival, itâs one of the biggest cities youâd ever been too.Â
"I canât tell you Iâll stop her. Iâve had rampages of my own, Iâve seen what someone will do and there isnât a single thing that can end it.â
You reach forward, pulling off Rennraâs eyepatch and wiping the tears from under his eyes, your fingers delicate, as if you might scratch him.
âWe still have her vision. We canât assume weâve been abandoned. Not yet. Even if I canât stop her, even if I canât save her from whatever is happening... Iâll try and get us answers.â
And closure. You already have your instincts screaming at you. Youâve died twice now, you feel a little in tune with the feeling of an Ending. Youâll try to stop it, for his sake, you wonât mention that itâs what you think will happen, for his sake.
Rennra wants to argue, his mouth opens with an attempt to convince you not to, but he canât find the heart to stop you. Both of you know itâs not safe, not even for you. But he knows he canât do anything, and for both of you to sit here and do nothing would be torturous.
âPlease donât get hurt.â
You place his tablet down and walk right up to him, pressing your forehead against his, just for a moment. You canât promise that.
With that, you turn to leave, and as you jump down from the crumbled wall, you see Rennra crumple in the corner of your room, crystals forming where the tail of his jacket met the floor.
âBut donât let her get hurt either. I canât lose someone again. Not again. Iâve never been able to say goodbye to a single person...â
