so in this post, I talked about the potential of Senku with the Medusa quirk as pro hero ‘Dr Stone’ in the mha world. Here I’m trying to work out some plot.

This can be a reincarnation/isekai kinda thing or a fandom fusion thing.

the most obvious issue is that Senku’s personality isn’t exactly the type to become a pro-hero, so we need to find some reason to get around that. Here are some suggestions:

Senku’s conscience (even if he’s tsundere about it) compels him to go into heroics because of his quirk (but he pretends it’s because he wants to have x advantage)

the HSPC noticed the potential of tiny orphan Senku’s quirk early and took him as a trainee

teenager Senku makes the news in some incident he publicly used his quirk to solve and was encouraged/blackmailed by the HSPC to go into heroics or face the illegal quirk use charges (this can go either he becomes an HSPC trainee OR Nezu makes him an offer to take him to UA and take care of the legal battle himself, promising him less string attached than the HSPC)

he originally joins UA’s support department for the tech stuff but one incident or another reveals the potential of his quirk and he’s made to switch to heroic

Terrifyingly, Senku and Nezu are Giant Mecha buddies like in another like Senku was rocket buddies with Xeno

Now picture Senku taking UA’s heroics Recommendation Entrance Exam, going "10 meters, 1 second" the moment they’re given the signal to start, petrifying all other contestants, and then he slowly and painfully goes through the obstacle course like the twig he is. When he revive the other, gasp Shoto doesn’t have a burn scar on his face anymore

bets are open whether he can plastic-surgery Dabi into redemption

oooh we can also play with the Medusa’s interaction with various individuals and their quirk— for example, if All Might were petrified after giving Deku the OfA, I think he would be revived without his debilitating injuries but also with the OfA remnant completely gone

Whether Hagakure is affected by Medusa is debatable, since this is a light beam

Also, are there quirks that could speedrun the natural un-petrification process? Some mental types, especially the intelligence multiplying quirks, could speed up the canon Senku self-revival method… except it took Senku 3700 years, so even if u go twice, thrice, or ten time as fast, you aren’t breaking out anytime this century — the mental output needed to break the petrification mid-fight is absolutely batshit insane, so not a concern me think.

Maybe regeneration quirks that are based on *speeding up* healing could have an effect, but again, insane output.

Star and Stripe’s New Order could probably undo the petrification, oooh and Eri’s quirk interacting with Medusa would be quite something too!

actually, Mirio’s intangibility is a toss up too

Shigaraki’s AOE Decay is probably one of the worst counter for Senku’s Medusa—all petrified civilians and/or allied heroes sitting ducks turning to dust, and u can even picture that Decay would fight against Tomura’s petrification

Anyway, me think that for all his combat power, at his core Senju is a healer and a scientist, he’s pro-hero ‘Doctor Stone’
