Went to a local establishment and played some pinball about a week ago! Machines were in decent condition, place wasn't too loud, wasn't too quiet, and people were friendly enough.

Who is Ben glich I dunno the guy
So uh for the whimsy crew on this one: y’all leapt like gazelles on an antelope, TYSM

So long story short, there’s a pinball machine game from 19-aught-90 called Dr. Dude and his Excellent X-Ray.
And Ben Glich (technically Ben A. Glich) is your…protagonist? I guess?
He was your typical class-A loser dork until he smashed together three concepts in a science blender and turned himself into a (I’m pretty sure) superhero with (I’m almost DEFINITELY sure) hypnosis powers.
(Please ask for elaboration in the replies I’m drawing this out on purpose heheheh 😈)

I don't trust this doctor....

“Dr Dude and His Excellent Ray”
Bally-Midway, 1990
TELL ME ABOUT BEN!!!!
I think I know you from somewhere… (/silly)
Human and cheetah forms for ya!
- His real name is Ben Athens Glich, but most of the time, he goes by Dr. Dude.
- He used to be a massive loser back when Ben was his only persona, but through the combined powers of a magnetic personality, a heart of rock and roll, a gift for gab and a genius-level intellect, Dr. Dude was born in the radical Molecular Mixmaster!
- Currently, when he’s not hiding out as Ben during his white-collar job, the Doc spends his time helping other people tap into their inner hipness with his captivating technology…and a little, shall we say, convincing push!
- The Mixmaster and the Doc’s other device, The EX-Ray (short for Excellent Ray) both have the ability to reduce a person to absolute atoms…but it’s not like they’re ever used for that.
- A spin in the Mixmaster can do wonders for a person…even change everything about them to make them happier! That’s how the Doc got his nurse: he called a college friend to test out the Mixer and didn’t expect it to completely trans her gender. (He’s chill with it, though)
- With the help of some fossilized DNA, Dr. Dude managed to grant himself the occasional form of an American cheetah: a cheetah-meets-cougar-like creature that’s been extinct for thousands of years! After all, he’s still a nerd at heart.
- His eyes now permanently look like the vaporwave aesthetic, meaning he has to be careful about eye contact or just wear sunglasses a lot. Or, he can just let himself pull people in like a baited hook. That part’s pretty fly, too.
- The cassette tape on his stethoscope plays music that matches a patient’s BPM (tempo and shit).
- This song is at the top of his playlist: https://youtu.be/SECICUOWPRc?si=ASzDVVE72ZXo9rvY
That’s about all the details I can give off the top of my head, but feel free to ask 500 more questions because I love him.
