Those Christmas lights that are left up on their houses all year finally get turned on.
There’s a Christmas special derby they hold that’s for local charity. The funds are used to keep the town looking decent and functional.
Those fireworks saved over from the 4th of July are all used up on Christmas Eve. The tradition says that they’re signalling to Santa where to go.
Dr. Damage actually makes a really good, friendly Santa for the kids in town.

What about Halloween in Thunder Hollow? I could easily see Miss Fritter in a haunted house/corn maze, jumping out and scaring the holy bejeezus out of cars driving through there. Maybe she'd be in a demon or devil costume to go along with those flaming exhaust stacks of her's.
Miss Fritter is the heart and soul of Halloween in Thunder Hollow. She paints herself red every year and coordinates the festivities.
Thunder Hollow’s fall-time festival overlaps with Halloween (purposefully) so that any visitors can celebrate the holiday with them.
There’s totally a corn maze. And it’s a haunted corn maze too. All Miss Fritter’s boys are scattered throughout the field to scare any who dare go through it.
Miss Fritter used to participate in the corn maze, too, but, well, fire and dry corn stalks don’t exactly go well together…
Trick-or-treating in Thunder Hollow is a little different - the trick-or-treaters are often asked ‘trick’ and expected to at least try to look/act scary before being given a treat.
There’s a parade on Halloween day every year, where everyone dresses up in their best costume and drives down main street.
There’s a pumpkin pie eating contest - Dr. Damage is undefeated.
Punkin’ Chunkin’ is also a thing. It’s best to stay clear of this event if you value your safety. Rednecks + launching mechanisms = never goes well.
