Oh this old thing?
It's an image I made a while back of Peter Lorres face as Dr Adolphus Bedlo from the 1963 film, 'The Raven', directed by Roger Corman, slapped over a comically adorable lamb from the simpsons, for a meme that I created to express my opinion that characters Peter Lorre played later in his career are just as endearing and bby-gurlifyable as characters from earlier in his career
I believe in old man peter lorre bby gurl supremacy
Finally the 50s and 60s

A brief glance into o Shaughnessy, Cairo and Spades family tree's
Oh BTW I finally saw The Raven
•Gosh! Peter really was so adorable and charming even as an old man. I could kick myself for being so hesitant to watch petes stuff from later in his career when I first got into him
•Speaking of, I know Peter acting in these Roger Corman films is sort of considered sad proof of how underutilised he was by more respected, Mainstream hollywood, particularly in his later years and I do tend to agree that the film industry was missing out by not putting him in films that typically won awards at the time, but man! I really enjoy these films. And hey, at least Corman didn't think the world would stop turning if he put him on screen for more than five minutes, which is more than can be said for some of the bigshot filmmakers that pete worked with in the past. No! YOU calm down!
•Big fan of human/bird hybrid Bedlo hopping and flapping his wings. Good stuff
•I really love Rexford, man. I knew I was gonna enjoy him cause I always like seeing Jack Nicholson in these super early roles of his, but he really is baby. Love him being a complete nimrod, accident, bastard, failure in his father's eyes
•Adolphus and Erasmus are a lot of fun together, probably my second favourite Pete/Vince team up so far. They're no Munsey and Prentiss, but few duo's are
•Definitely ship Bedlo and Craven. Ofc Adolphus hates his own wife, but then there's the random contempt he and Lenore seem to have for eachother. Also, I think Erasmus collectively referring to both his daughter and Bedlos son as "children" at the end is cute
•speaking of, It kinda seemed like their kids were gonna end up together and naturally I'm very glad that didn't happen, at least not explicitly. Maybe this is kind of a stretch since they're both adults, but Estelle and Rexford were both(presumably) only children their whole lives with Estelles mother being out of the picture and Rexfords parents resenting eachother for god knows how long, so I like the idea of them both being glad to finally have a sibling and happy parents who love eachother yknow?
•Birdlo saying "Hell" at the beginning and the "dirty old man" joke make me sad that Pete didn't live long enough to be able to say "Fuck" in a movie
Every once in a while I have to draw Adolphus Bedlo, everyone's favourite drunk cranky raven wizard, in fancy 15th century clothing again
