“you know, you have a very symmetrical face. if i took a meat cleaver down the center of your skull i’d having matching halves.” it was safe to say, heather didn’t have the best complimenting skills. in fact, the moment it left her lips she shook her head, “oh god, i never realized how wrong that sounded until now. i really shouldn’t have said that in high school..” she shook her head and attempted to change the subject, “so sweater weather! it has arrived!” // ( open starter ) @displacedstart​

“--and i’d never left the city before then, so you can imagine that that was a shock.” it was an impulse that steve couldn’t seem to turn off these days, to empathize and talk through his feelings. his schedule was busy these days. lots of new clients, all of them with problems that steve couldn’t have even thought about before all of this had happened. but he’d still carved out time to have coffee with someone who had so obviously needed it. “what about you? how are you adjusting to all of this?” 

“well, the haunted house officially scarred me for life, so... up for the tunnel of love?” at this point some stupid teddy bear robots sounded pretty fuckin’ decent. 

IT HAD been a rather long day for the chemistry professor. how many students were going to blow up his lab? it was getting rather annoying. he still had bits of failed experiments in his raven hair. that couldn’t be good. and of course this starbucks line was going no where. he just wanted his coffee. lord.... how is he gonna get through this in time to get home and watch his soap opera..... clearing his throat, he pulled out his phone and began acting like he had gotten an emergency call. “oh! oh no! i’m stuck in line for your tea...oh. excuse me.” he spoke to the other person in front of him. “my wife is in labor and i need to get to the hospital stat... but she would kill me if i didn’t get her tea... do you mind if i get in front of you?”

             “  this  isn’t  cool.  ”  lizzie’s  still  not  happy  about  winding  up  in  new  york  of  all  places.  she  didn’t  mind  exploring  new  territories   ---  but  against  her  will  ?  that  was  where  she  drew  the  line.  “  i  don’t  even  have  my  nice  outfits  with  me.  ”

“one time my brother got shot by a clown.” cat began quite casually with that oblivious smile on her face. “because my brother kept poking him and saying ‘whatcha gonna do about it clown? huuuh?’ and it all happened in a bus.” again, incredibly nonchalant before she added, “did i also mention that the clown was my uncle?” // ( open starter ) @displacedstart​
