“you feelin’ okay today?” sure, billy may’ve appreciated laurie and enjoyed her company, but he can’t even remember the last time he asked anyone how they were doing. “feel like my brain is scrambled.” handing her a coffee, he plops himself down on the worn out couch centring his apartment.

walking around the block twice, billy takes his time. discovering what was surely the longest path to her, tentatively knocking on the door. “i don’t know a lot about bein’ paranoid but i’ve got smokes, candy and booze. wasn’t sure whatcha like.”

the dingy bar had become a second home to the only loomis child, the drink drowning his sorrows more than any woman could. not to say he wouldn’t try. “hey malibu barbie, want a drink?”

“yo, red!” feet drag as he jogs to catch up to the familiar redhead, arms thrown over his head dramatically. “you quakin’ in your prada yet?”

“‘scuse me discount selena, you’re blocking the door.” moody as always, billy allows the insult to tumble from his lips before he can stop it. way to not draw attention to yourself. “may i?”
