It has been such a long time since Mel and Tink had a proper talk. Tink was her best friend in the whole world. They have such opposite interests and personalities that when they come together they complement each other. If soulmates were real, Tink was Mel’s soulmate. She knew Tink was going to appear in heels and tights clothes and then there was Melody: In her father’s old Harvard T-shirt with a knot on the waist to fit her better and plain jeans with her signature converse sneakers. Mel had already baked some cookies and brownies for their dinner and managed to convince the lunch ladies to give the ice cream to both of the girls. She still wondered how she managed to do that. When Tink arrived, Mel was eating some chips. She was starving and she was sure that the tiny blonde girl wouldn’t mind. They talked and talked, laughed and didn’t even paid attention to the weather getting worst outside. They talked about their relationships, and Mel told the other girl how her nightmares about her mother were getting more and more frequent. After a while, Mel excused herself to go to the bathroom saying she won’t take long to get back. She skipped down the hall to the girl’s bathroom and caught a glimpse of the storm outside. “Damn.” She commented. While she washed her hands, she watched the rain hit the small window in the bathroom. She closed faucet and whipped her hands on the towel.
The weather was getting worst and worst until she heard something crumbling. It sounded like it came from the cafeteria. Tink. Mel never reacted so fast, she ran from the bathroom towards the cafeteria. The window in the hall shattered and a piece of glass cut Mel’s arm but she kept going. The pain wasn’t important, her friend was. Mel wanted to know if her friend was all right. She ran towards the cafeteria and found everything torn apart. She could still hear screams in the distance. Everyone was panicking. She grabbed the first person by the arm “Where’s Tink? Is she fine?” she looked at the person “I don’t know. But you have a big cut on your arm. We need to take care of it.” The person was going to start healing Mel but she dodge him and started running everywhere calling for her best friend “Tink!” she could feel the tears starting to for in her eyes. “Tink!” her screamed transformed from a powerful scream to a painful shriek. She let herself fall on the floor looking everywhere for a glimpse of the blonde girl. Mel covered her face with her hands and cried. Her friend must be so scared. Why didn’t she got there earlier? She cried for her friend that must be so lost as Mel is. Someone kneeled down next to her”You need to take care of that wound.” They whispered. Mel looked at them with red eyes and nodded. She got up and followed the person. Suddenly Mel stopped. The person looked at her worried “Barrel…” she said, “W-Where’s Barrel?” she asked at the person but they could give her an answer. Mel wasn’t a person to turn to god or a divine entity but now she prayed that her friends were alright, every single one of them. She prayed for Tink to be safe somewhere and Barrel away from this storm and safe. And Steele too, they needed to be fine. They have to. “They’re fine. I’m fine.” She whispered to herself while they took care of her wound. She closed her eyes and hoped that she could still have a chance to go egg hunting with Steele, or being dragged to go shopping with Tink, or play with her pets, or just feel Barrel’s arms around her, protecting her… She wished for all that. For the little things.

Eilonwy was a shell of the girl she once was. Everything had happened so fast, her mind didn't have time to catch up to it. Somehow she imagined she would feel better about herself afterwards, but no, she felt horrible and dirty. What would people think of her now? She was a harlot. A hussy. She tried to eat, but her mind kept distracting her. Telling her things she didn't even want to think about. The questions constantly hounding her. What would her parents think? Would they take away her position? The one she had sought so desperately to pass on to one of her siblings. But now, with the thoughts of disgracing the long line of the Llyr family, she couldn't imagine life without it. She couldn't go back to Prydain. Her father would know immediately, he would look down on her like the harlot she was, and cast her out. She couldn't deal with the sorrow. But suddenly, the noise of the surrounding storm grew louder, and people were running. What was wrong? Then it hit. Tornado. Eilonwy panicked and ran towards safety. Her problems would have to come second to the pressing issue of staying alive.
