Simmer Down

It had been a few days since Katara woke up in the strange world alone. The last thing she had remembered was falling through the ground and reaching out for Zukoâs hand. She had assumed it was a trap set by the fire nation but no one could have pulled something like this off. She couldnât figure out what was going on and how it happened or how to even get back home. The war against the fire nation was set to start soon and here she was trapped, she didnât even know where Zuko had ended up, or if he had even made it to this place like her.Â
She could feel herself slowly stressing out about everything, but she did her best to hide it. She put her focus on making her new home feel like that, a home, and buried herself in her job at the clinic. Helping others had greatly helped her deal with the stress, or at least ignore it by overworking herself.Â
On one of those nights after a long shift at the clinic, all Katara wanted to do was to get home and fall asleep. Sheâd been exhausted, exhausted to the point of going into her neighbors house instead of her own and heading straight to their bed and falling asleep without realizing her mistake. She didnât even realize how much more comfortable this bed was than hers, but she wouldnât complain, not with the calmness of sleep having overtaken her in that moment.
