Special throwback today on my 41st year on 🌏 to my senior 📸Douglas High School 1995 when I was “only 17” (Winger shout out!) - Last year this time on my 40th it was 2 days after my Mom’s funeral and we were all in Arizona still mourning and hard to “celebrate” something... but this year I feel extremely blessed and thankfully we’re all in a good place. In other words, when it comes to birthday celebrations... IT’S ON! (KoRn shout out!) - 41 feels f’in great! I’m still the same nerdy Metal kid I was back in our Mexican bordertown. I still can’t believe what I do in life. It’s THAT passionate feeling plus the music, my family/friends, tequila, herbs and constant positivity that keeps me young. I’m more excited now than I’ve ever been and feel life keeps getting better with age. Just like my favorite tequilas! Thank YOU so much for the kind comments, texts, emails & invisible energy waves you’ve been sending my way today and everyday. I appreciate all the love - always! 🙏🏽 After my @sxmoctane show today I’m going to Vegas w @melissammangin to have sexy time, dinner @beautyandessexlv & party @hardrockhotellv can’t wait! I parked my car for the first time at Douglas high school this evening. I cried and took photos of the thousands of flowers, momentos, notes, signs, balloons and banners. Each gift had been left with thought and so much grief and purpose. Pinwheels were scattered throughout the eastern swale of Pine Island Rd, which is now the MSD memorial. Bless these young souls, and the old souls. The souls that still live here as humans, and all of those grieving people I passed on the hill tonight. Being at the school deflated some of the welled up anxiety and surreal fear I was feeling. The tears just poured out of my eyes as I strolled through literally thousands of these gifts. Somewhere along the way, I just sat down. I closed my eyes and tried to share some of my serenity with the place, hoping someone may pick it up there as needed. As sad and somber as it was there tonight, I could feel the strength as well. I could feel hope and power. There is a big fight ahead.
