Que tipo de homem coloca sua mulher nessa situação? Que tipo de homem não assume a porra toda e pega o que é dele?
( Birthday Girl )
Good morning everybody!
More Akira production art.
This is probably my favorite cel set that I own. It is from the scene where Tetsuo confronts the Esper children and destroys the baby room. The top image is a 5 cel set including the original, hand-painted book background. The background is two layers: the broken wall and the floor, and the dark room with the pillars behind it. The wall has beautiful paintings on it and it's really awesome to see them up close. They were given just as much detail as anything else in the film and they are so insignificant in the entirety of the film but the fact that so much care was put into painting them really speaks volumes about the artistry of this film.
The layers are: The two book-background layers, a layer of rocks falling from the ceiling, a layer of the wall exploding with Masaru and Kiyoko fleeing, and a layer of Takashi.
The second image is a genga that was printed out and then colored in by hand. The third and fourth images are dougas. The fifth image is a bonus A1 cel of one of the pillars in the back collapsing and the sixth and final image is a shot of the wall blowing out a few cels later, with Masaru and Kiyoko nearly entirely off the canvas.
Sorry about the size, Tumblr seems to shrink them a bit.
