Alright. I had to re-do Caspian completely after a story change. I also decided to combine two characters into one, hence the new name is Lucas, and âCaspianâ refers to the demon.
Also, I did the SMART thing this time and used an actual ref for the damn birb. last time I didnât do that and...it looked terrible. Refs are important, especially when drawing stuff you donât do that often.
Also, sorry if the pics seem a bit blurry. tumblr is a pain to use sometimes when it comes to sizing your pics.
Hereâs the brand new bio:
Name: Lucas (the demon is named Caspian)
Height: 191 cm (Lucas) 158 cm (Caspian, humanoid form) 90 cm (bird)
Lucasâ exact age is unknown, but he appears to be around 20-30, and since he was sent trough time about a hundred years, heâs at least that old technically.Â
Caspianâs age is unknown as well, but he admits he is very young for his kind
An Astrial
Astrials are a powerful, old race of light beings that originate from the spiritual realm. They often get mistaken for angels/nephilins due to their "angelic" appearance and wings.
Lucas is an Astrial, who was born with a very solid body, but barely any actual Astrial light energy. Since he had barely any magic abilities, he is deemed "Corrupted" one. Even more so now that he shares his soul with a demon.
Caspian is a bird-demon related to sirens.
Lucas is quiet and gentle, and as is typical to corrupted Astrials, his mind wanders easily and itâs sometimes difficult for him to focus on here and now. he can be very protective of his beloved Joaquin though, and his anger can even scare his mental companion, Caspian sometimes. Heâs very thoughtful and considerate of otherâs emotions and so, and often times helps people without them even knowing. He holds a lot of guilt over what he did in the past, even if it wasnât technically his fault, nor even Caspians; neither had control over themselves back then.
Caspian is rather aggressive, vindictive and he can even be a bit petty and pout like a kid at times. This being said, he has a good side to him and genuinely respects Lucas, as well as cares for Joaquin, and he is protective of them both. Caspian also has a pretty good sense of humor, if a bit twisted. He's also highly intelligent, which somewhat balances out the fact he's kind of weak on his own.

Lucas has a very small array of light magic abilities when compared to majority of his peers, such as minor healing spells and literally working as a torch. he can sense magical beings rather well and identify them thanks to Caspianâs influence. (Most his kin have much more than this, like combat abilities, creating objects from light, burning light, banishing sacred light, etc.)
While barely having any magic abilities, Lucas is IMMENSELY strong and durable physically, itâs extremely hard to wound him even with magic, which is rather unusual even for his kindred; this is why people have theorized all of his magic went into making his body tough as nails.
Caspian in turn can grant him the ability to manipulate wind and shadows in rather powerful and precise slicing/whip attacks. He also enables Lucas to fly with his wings, as without his own magic, Lucasâ wings are pretty useless for that. They do work as strong shields though.
Lucas is a pretty good swordsman, as a village guard from his childhood home taught him how to use one, and his kindred tend to have natural talent in wielding swords.
Caspian has also granted Lucas extreme speed.
The two share a mental link and communicate trough their thoughts even when Caspian manifests into the real world as that blue bird.
Lucas cannot fly at all on his own; he needs to share Caspianâs magic to do so, hence his angel-like wings arenât white but dark blue when he summons them.
Lucas cannot do much of the light magic his kindred typically can due to him being born without most of it. (Majority of his essence for some reason went into building his physical form)
He is rather shy and prefers to be left alone most of the time - well, as alone as he can be.
Lucas holds a lot of guilt over his actions, and often suffers from traumatic flashbacks or nightmares due to everything relating to his history.
Caspian is keenly afraid of tight spaces, which does bleed into Lucas as well, though Lucas doesnât feel it as strongly. Caspian is also very weak on his own, and is terrified of the prospect of being separated from Lucas as that leaves him very vulnerable.
If Lucas blacks out - not dreams, but faints basically - their body will morph into a weaker state as Caspian gains majority of control. While he can move more freely then, they are extremely vulnerable to attacks in this state, as Caspian doesnât have that much durability.
- In case this hasnât become clear yet, Caspian and Lucas share the same body, and that demonic bird form is how Caspian appears to Lucas in his mind. Lucas is the original owner of the body
- Despite their terrifying, rocky start, the two have learned to live with their situation and honestly consider each others as friends rather than parasites, like how Lucas originally called Caspian
- They have a very different tastes; Caspian loves salty and bitter foods, whereas Lucas prefers sweets.
- Caspian often appears in the real world in the shape of a small blue eagle. (I based the design veeery loosely on harpy eagles my friend proposed to me) Joaquin can see him too then.
Lucas was born without much light magic, making him seem corrupted, which caused his parents to abandon him into the mortal realm unfortunately. The baby was taken in and raised by an elderly couple in a poor village. Then, it was raided by bandits on day when he was closing in on his twentieth birthday, and he was taken in by the black mage that was leading the group, for heâd heard of this unique, strangely tough child and wanted to use him for his experiments.
They ended up planting a demon theyâd captured into him by forcibly merging their souls, and wanted to use his new âweaponâ to raid a hidden kingdom of magic for its resources. However, due to the unnatural, forcible bonding, Lucas/Caspian snapped out of control and instead of simply taking out the Kingdomâs guardians, they pretty much tried to destroy the whole place.
The two were only stopped on their mad rampage once a Deity whoâd once been the lover of Helias, one of the Kingdomâs rulers - Amaros - stepped in and sent him and Caspian forward in time.
The two ended up wandering around, trying to gain control over the other for months after arriving to the future, but overtime this fight began to evaporate and replaced by mutual respect for one another.
Then, one day, they ran into a young dressmaker named Joaquin, who was in trouble, and helped them.
As a thank you, Joaquin took them - or him, as at this point they were only aware of Lucas - to stay in their house overnight as the weather was rather terrible. However, as the poor dressmaker ended up getting sick from the rain, Lucas decided to stay much to Caspianâs dismay. The two nursed them back to health, and afterwards, both agreed to stay a little longer as they honestly liked the young dressmaker.
Eventually, Lucas fell in love with Joaquin, and even Caspian had to admit the dressmaker was `fun to be around.`
Iâve been supposed to do this like....weeks ago. But I finally did it. I like this new story and design MUCH better than the old one.
Note to self; ALWAYS use refs drawing birbs. end result is much better
