Niffty would be upset by his death. Husker might well be relieved, before he went and [ ] and [ ] away all his money and power and freedom once again, until he was left in the same position he’d been when he’d come to Alastor for a deal. He wondered who he’d go to this time. Carmilla maybe? Zestial? Surely not the Vees!
Rosie would be upset to lose so valuable a thrall, and without even getting the task completed!
Vox would be happy Alastor was dead, would cheer and celebrate and make a big deal out of calling him a has-been, and then have a mental breakdown when he realised Alastor was really gone and he’d had nothing to do with it.
Everyone else would breathe a sigh of relief that the feared Radio Demon wouldn’t be there anymore. Charlie might not even notice, with her father doing his best to make up for decades of [ ] via spoiling her mercilessly.
If you can without SPOILERS, how accurate are Alastor’s assumptions here?
I would presume that the main reason Husk and Niffty didn't search for him is that they could sense through the Soul Chain that he’s still alive, but the moment he dies I imagine neither would hide it from Charlie, and then Vox would know, and that would be the moment the Hotel is doomed to fail.
Vox, in particular, would be interesting since -unlike the others- he absolutely knew how just badly Alastor was hurt, he had recorded the moment and celebrated... and Vox would have to spend the rest of his afterlife knowing that he could've saved Alastor but didn't. He would 100% project that guilt onto Charlie, playing the footage of the fight with Adam directly in front of her, forcing her to watch as he reminds her: Alastor had died for you. He hadn't even believed in redemption and yet he still sacrificed himself for your dream. You didn't even look for him, did you? Fuck, you looked for the whore's pet pig, is it worth more to you than your own business partner? In fact, sources tell me that you were all too busy singing songs and rebuilding the Newer Crappier Hotel without him instead of forming a fucking search party... did you even remember that he existed before the drunkard and maid interrupted your cheesy little musical number to tell you that they felt him die. That was weeks after the killing blow. Clearly, unlike the snake, his death was entirely avoidable... if you had cared enough to help. So why? Why didn't you save him? YOU COULD HAVE SAVED HIM.
Both very accurate, and not at all, because he doesn't understand how other people DO actually care for him.
Husk would freak out, Niffty would break down, Rosie would feel guilt and regret and mourn and not just because he was useful, Charlie and the other hotel group would freak out and try and find him - and oh. He was in his radio tower, the whole time. It was easy to find him. If they'd just looked...
And yeah, Vox goes full mental breakdown. He knew Alastor was hurt, and that he was missing had 'fled with his tail between his legs' - but then his spy lets him know Alastor is dead. The chains on Husk and Niffty shattered. They found the body.
He teleports in through the phone, and gets to SEE Alastor's body. The wound.
And - he knew he was hurt. He knew he ran. He knew he was almost dead. He SAW. And he knows Alastor, knows where he would have gone for help, he - he could have gone after him. Waited a bit to let Alastor suffer and weaken and realise no one was coming - and then show up and be the hero. Show he's not the pathetic weakling Alastor laughed at all those years ago, he's the powerful one now! Shown Alastor - he should join him. He should be his partner. He could have - he could have -!
He absolutely projects the guilt on Charlie and sets out to DESTROY her and the hotel and its quite possible that without Alastor there to help he succeeds and conquers heaven and hell, or possibly just breaks and destroys everything cause whats the point if Alastor is DEAD.
In fact, its quite possible that that DID happen, and whatever force sent Alastor to the Mother and Fatherverses is reacting to that bad end...
