You start receiving presents at work. Little things here and there. A rose left on your desk. The cute necklace you liked on Etsy. The sweater you thought about buying when you were out shopping the other day. The gifts are way too personal to be from a stranger. You ask your friends about it, but they don't have a clue.

Soon, you start to receive gifts at home. Expensive bottles of wine. Chocolates you don't trust enough to eat. A pair of underwear in your exact size. Feeling anxious, you go through your dresser just in case. Nothing's been disturbed.

I thought I'd try asking a fun question:

Yanderes are usually the ones that do the stalking, but what if they were on the receiving end? Would they be more perceptive than most or with their zero-in-on-a- single-target-mentality make them completly oblivious? How long do you think it would take you to notice.

Interesting question.

I can't imagine any Yandere being completely oblivious to such a thing. The zero-in-on-a-single-target mentality extends to the environment around their Darling as well.

For example, a doting Yandere might use their stalker as a tool to make their Darling jealous, while a silent Yandere, the most perceptive of them all, would notice straight away-- and likely find themselves irritated by the unwanted attention.

If he's anything like me, a doting type, it's possible he wants you to feel that way. The thought of someone crying pretty little tears and fretting over my attention is exciting. What better way to show your devotion than to accept that your desperate desire for him makes you utterly sick to your stomach?

I am a darling who is currently yandere-less and it’s weighing me down like nobodies business, the worst part is all yandere forums are crawling with literal children (im 20 so I book it every time I notice the age range on some of these forums) it’s a frustrating quest but hopefully one that ends well.

I can definitely relate to this. I feel like I constantly have to clarify that I don't interact with minors. I understand they're just looking for online spaces to feel accepted and explore their identities, but it's genuinely unsafe sometimes. I'm not a nice guy by any means, but even I worry for them. Anyways, rant over.

For a doting/possessive Yandere, be enthusiastic, eager to please, and perhaps a bit clumsy. These kinds of Yanderes like someone a little helpless. Easier to control that way.

If he's truly a Doting/Possessive type, he knows how you feel about this already. It's what keeps you wide-eyed and willing. It's the devastation looming over your shoulder, the dependency, the anxiety that compels you to reach out for advice.

Give in. Stop struggling to maintain control. Unless, of course, he's like me-- a Yandere who loves to trap his darling in a cycle of fear and second-guessing.
