Recent Acquisition - Postcard Collection

Hey! Thanks for your message. Yes that seems to be a common thing experienced by people with submechanophobia. 

Sadly, I couldn’t really find much about this ride’s animatronics. I believe this is the advert you’re talking about.

This creature also features on posters advertising The Haunted River.

I can’t seem to find any pictures of it in the ride or in footage of the ride.

Here’s the only video I could find of the ride which isn’t great quality but I can’t see that underwater creature in the ride.

It looks like the ride had a lot of skeleton animatronics

and this article has some good information about the ride but no mention of the that underwater monster. Anyone want to add anything?

The Lonely T-Rex

I do not know why there is a large dinosaur statue outside the parking lot of King's Dominion, as I was too afraid and/or lazy to get any closer than this. This large amusement park is in Hanover County just north of Richmond, and currently features 13 roller coasters and a 1/3-size replica of the Eiffel Tower, for some reason. It is owned by Cedar Fair, which also runs the sister park of King's Island near Cincinnati, as well as Cedar Point near Cleveland and Knott's Berry Farm near Los Angeles.
