π½ 1928: Interference (pre- code drama) stars Clive Brook, William Powell, Evelyn Brent, and Doris Kenyon.
It was Paramount Pictures' first all-talking motion picture, which explores themes of blackmail and murder when a supposed-dead first husband resurfaces.Β
The term could also broadly relate to the significant changes and "interference" or disruption that the advent of sound film caused for the movie industry in the late 1920s and early 1930s.Β (Paramount Pictures)
