several months ago I said I was gonna stream dwarf fortress but chickened out at the last minute and I regret doing that cuz I dunno, I wanna show people how bullshit that game is

I’m pretty sure I have everything I need to do a stream; I tested it out anyway and it seemed fine, except maybe it would make my laptop get very hot but it does that all the time regardless

anyway I’m thinking maybe soon actually doing that for real this time? I’m not sure; the idea of people watching me fail at video games freaks me out but apparently people have enjoyed that before <_<

I get it, so when the new movie comes out, it will give you new motivation and ideas for a sequel to this one. Well now I’m more excited.That makes sense on why you want to finish before the movie comes out, which I did not know was 51 days.

Well, I've had a few ideas for major "landmarks" that I want to hit in the quest-fic, but I also want to see how the movie deals with Beorn/Mirkwood/Lake-town and the rest of it (at least until BOFA), because I'm basing as much of the quest-fic as I can on the movies, so seeing the rest of the canon will help me in terms of, "How does Beorn look? What exactly has changed between book!Thrandy and movie!Thrandy?" and so on and so forth. It would've irritated the heck out of me for me to write the fic and have ideas of specific spots I want to hit, and then to get Jossed by the movie when it came out, so really, the months that I spent blocked were really kind of a blessing in disguise. As a random aside, DoS could also have more character moments for the dwarves, which I can use and build on or whatever. :D
