Rumor has it that Billy’s newborn already jumps higher than me 😂. Elizabeth Joy is adorable man and I know you already figured out the dope dad lifestyle! Billy is one of my oldest friends. We go way back to my days growing up in Minnesota. I was one of the first people he clicked with at Mayo High School because we both played on the basketball team. This dude could JUMP. I’m not sure about now with those old man knees. I still remember the days of him being on ESPN due to his insane jumping ability. Now he faces a new challenge of fatherhood. Traveling with kids is challenging. Traveling with kids without my wife made me consider canceling my trip. I knew MJ would be easy. If you give her something to watch you can forget she’s even there. Mars is the wild card. This kid goes from 0 to 100 real quick. He constantly has to move and is surprisingly strong when you try to hold him down. When he wants food he only allows an unreasonable 2 second count before he screams. Sometimes he screams if he only has food in one hand. I guess I don’t blame him, I was just double fisting drinks last night. So I had a variety of snacks on deck and multiple toys to distract him. I recruited Lathan to come on the trip with me and this guy did his research. He brought his tablet and had it loaded with kids shows and games. We pulled it off! We made it both flights without either kid having a melt down. It was beautiful. I had to let Mars play on the floor more than planned. It was worth it to not ruin everyone’s sleep on the flight. I just hope those were his Cheerios he ate off the floor. Traveling with both kids was tough but was so worth it to come celebrate my friends birthday. Being a parent makes some of the fun things I like to do inconvenient. But nothing worth a damn is convenient right?

It’s so entertaining to watch kids grow. MJ picks up on things so quickly she can’t keep up. She has this new habit of winking and giving a thumbs up. Her comedic timing of when she does it is impressive. She doesn’t quite know what to do with her eyes and face each time. What funny habits do your kids, nieces, nephews, or grandkids have?
