          there’s only one bar that susie ever goes to nowadays. a bar that’s relatively casual with a chill ambience that caters to her music taste, playing songs she grew up on every night. it isn’t often that she actively goes out so this is a treasured place to the girl. there are a lot of memories that take place in this bar, memories of fleeting touches, soft whispers, and even softer kisses. 

          she tries not to dwell on those for too long. 

          there’s a live band again tonight playing an oasis song that drowns out the faint chatter of other muggle ( and perhaps some wizard ) patrons. she’s sitting alone nearby the makeshift stage, a nearly empty bottle of cider in her hand. the song comes to an end and her bottle is now empty. looking away from the stage so that she can ask for another, her eyes land on an all-too familiar face. the very person those memories were shared with.

          the band starts playing a white lies song that she put in the mixtape she made for the girl across the bar and a part of her wants to laugh, while the other part wants to go wallow in a hole. susie looks away the moment she catches stacey’s eye, directing her focus to the band, nodding her head along to the music as if that’ll shake away the memory of her playing this song for the other the first time.
