Kenny had thought his days of whoring himself out for money were behind him after the Krazy Kenny Show shenanigans back in the third grade. However, desperate times called for desperate measures. The electricity and heat had been turned off in their house since the latest bit of money had been scrounged up to pay the mortgage. Usually, the McCormicks put the mortgage on the back burner, but they could only delay it for so long without being evicted.
At the very least, Kenny made sure Karen stayed with Ruby until all of this bullshit was straightened out. Fuck letting his little sister freeze to death. She deserved so much better. He wanted to give her the world.
He walked over the tracks to the better part of town. He usually would text Cartman instead of just showing up to his house, but he was without phone service at the moment, courtesy of all the other bills. He picked up the pace as a blustering wind sprang up and cut through his threadbare parka.
Finally, he made it to Cartman’s house. He rang the doorbell three times in a row, the same obnoxious ring he always did as a kid to alert the other of his presence. Kenny just hoped to God that Cartman was home.
