Morty sighed as he drank his non-alcoholic pina colada. He was currently sitting at the bar in his 80s club, already finishing up his dances for the night. Now, he was just sitting here and relaxing since he didnât really feel like going home yet. Glancing at the dance floor, he wondered if he should get a dance or two in before leavingâŚ
Ah, but who to dance with? It wasnât too fun without dancing with a partnerâŚMorty would have to choose carefully this time. The guy from last time had been a freak and totally uncool with him.
Kenny fanned himself as he walked through downtown Miami. Even with the sun down, it still felt hot to him. He wasnât used to the warm weather of Florida after moving here from South Park. He didnât plan on staying with this foster family for long. His sister, Karen, was taken to some family in Nebraska. Her new foster parents sounded alright so far, but Kenny just hated the thought of his little sister being alone. Kevin, his big brother, got some family in Wyoming, but Kenny knew he could handle himself.
Until he saved up enough scratch for a bus ticket, however, he was stuck in Miami. He really shouldnât have looked at it that way, though. This city was as kickass as that Will Smith song made it out to be from what he saw so far.
There was even an 80s-themed club! Kenny was reminded of GTA Vice City. Hopefully, nobody gunned him down, though.
Using his fake ID, he got into the club. Kenny wandered over to the bar since he noticed a pretty hot androgynous looking dude there. Or maybe they were a girl? Kenny wasnât sure, but he didnât care. Growing up poor made him realize he could never afford to be picky. Too many good opportunities.
âHey, sup?â Kenny asked, looking the person up and down. âIâm new in town. Nameâs Kenny.â He sat at the bar and ordered himself PBR, though the bartender seemed suspicious of his age.

Kyle laughed at Kennyâs impersonation of Towelieâ that took some of the edge off. He was glad then, that he could rely on Kenny for such things. Briefly, in a show of small gratitude, he bumped his shoulder against the blondâs.Â
Removing his ushanka, Kyle ran a hand through his unruly curlsâ theyâd gotten longer, and without his head covering to keep them up and out of the way, they fell about his face and ears randomly. âYou wonât tell anyone, right?â He knew better- Kenny was probably the most trustworthy person when it came to secrets.Â
Heaving a sigh, the redhead continued. âThatâs not fair of me to ask, I know youâre good for it, I just- ugh. itâs like a minefield in my head.â He shifted, drawing his good knee to his chest and resting his forehead on it. This probably wasnât half as big of a deal as he felt like it was, and he knew it wasnât, but that didnât shake the iron grip of panic knotted in his chest.Â
âYou ever- kinda come to a realization about a thing- and youâre kinda like âwell shitâ because- you know if your parents know, itâs gonna be hell but theyâre gonna find out eventually and you havenât told anyone because youâre terrified of reactions andââ He stopped mid sentence to actually breathe- he tried to calm down before he worked himself up again.Â
âIâm an idiot, dude.âÂ
Kenny liked hearing Kyle laugh and feeling of the brief shoulder bump. Unfortunately, the good feeling didnât last long, which made sense. Kyle was still under a considerable amount of stress from whatever secret he was hiding. Before Kenny could open his mouth to voice any reassuring answer, Kyle immediately realized how heâd never tell anyone.
Kenny frowned as he watched Kyle curl up on himself. He looked so small like that, and the words the redhead used struck him. âThat sounds like some seriously heavy shit.â
He waited, listening patiently as Kyle began to start sputtering out the truth. He couldnât relate as much because of how absent his parents were. The last time he remembered his mom caring about anything was when he blew off church as a kid to go see the Terrance and Phillip movie. Sheâd been pissed then, sure, but it wasnât any big secret that he had to keep hidden from her.
Kenny extended his freehand and started rubbing Kyleâs upper back in little circles. He took a drag from his cigarette, the smoke mixing with his words. âDude, youâre not an idiot. Youâre the smartest fucking kid in class. Now whatâs wrong?â
dontcallmefat:
Cartman looked slightly embaresssed, âYou promise you wonât tell? If you tell Iâll kick your poor gay ass!â Cartman threatened, however he placed his hand down into Kennyâs hair slightly petting it. âGo on.â
LOVE LANGUAGES TEST
People show and recognize love in different ways: gift giving, words of affirmation, quality time, physical touch, and acts of service. These different ways are called love languages, and while everyone understands a little of each language, we all speak and understand one or two better than we do the others. Our love language is how we most feel loved.
Use THIS SITE to determine your characterâs love language! Then repost with the results!

You respond to physical touch
For you, love is as simple as a caress. Where ever it happens, how ever long it lasts or how it is: it could be just holding hands while walking about, having a quick cuddle once the kids are in bed, stealing a kiss here and there, exchanging touches while passing each other in the hallway, and of course making love, particularly in the warming up phase â body to body, skin against skin⌠Physical touch is security and reassurance for you and makes you sure that your partner loves you. On the contrary, the absence of physical contact hurts you deeply and you can feel ill treated or rejected and you close down emotionally. But when your partner communicates in your love language, it touches you deeply inside, creating strong emotional intimacy that opens you to yourself and to your partner. Some advice: Every person has his or her own geography when it comes to bodily touch. Donât think that touching them in a way that pleases you will necessarily please them and vica-versa. Itâs important to verbally confirm the touches and caresses that you like, âYou know I love it when you hold my hand⌠âI like it when you brush against me while passing byâ or âI adore when you take me in your armsâ. You can invent a coupleâs game to make your partner guess which styles of caress you like and which zones of your body are more receptive (Getting hotter, getting colder⌠) If you are seriously lacking contact, begin by explaining to your partner how you operate in sensorial terms and perhaps invited them to find 5 different ways of physical contact during the day.

âI know youâre right Ken but everybody hits there breaking point. I mean I try to be a good person but there have been a couple times where I thought about punching or beating up Eric and it just made me feel like a terrible person. I keep thinking one day Iâll end up being a bully like my Dad and Iâll do anything for that not to happen.â
Kenny chuckled and gave Buttersâs shoulder a gentle squeeze. âDude, which one of us hasnât fucking thought about punching fatboy in the face? I promise that donât make you a bad person.â He leaned in and placed a light kiss on Butters lips, his other hand reaching up to cup his soft cheek. âNo way in hell youâre ever gonna end up anything like your dad. Dude, you were just born fucking good, and even a piece of shit like your dad canât corrupt you. I promise.â

A bright laugh was heard as Kyle spun- yes, he decided, I like this human. Perhaps it was too early in the night to determine that- what if he were actually an assassin sent to remove him? What a mess that would be, Kyle mused sadly.Â
Kenneth didnât admit to being uninvited- he only asked for more information, and Kyle found himself actually willing to oblige. âWell, Iâm sure you know the stories of the war. The tricks and lies used by the king here to remove the Elven threat? Or perhaps youâve been told great stories.â A sad smile graced his features, and it almost appeared as though hazel eyes were more green with the sorrow.Â
âRegardless of what the stories may say, the war devastated my people. Scattered us. The remaining Elven prince went into hiding, and we prayed upon those who wandered too far into the woods- Iâve heard the people here have made up quite the stories about my kind.âÂ
He could recall, hiding behind a shipment at the docks, hearing stories of the rogues who would slip into the city- the prince among them, unbeknownst to manâ and the things humans said about them. Skin like the earth, eyes black as coals, fangs, and clawsâ none of it particularly true.Â
âSo your noblemen here sought out the prince- but were unable to find him. See, before the Elven kingdom fell, his closest allies smuggled him out of harmâs wayâŚâ His brows had knit with concern. â⌠he still holds a lot of guilt for not being there, but it was said someone would have to lead again, one day.â Kyle shook his head quickly, a faked smile sliding into place.Â
âAnd then heââ his head tilted towards the front of the room where the nobleman sat upon his throat, spilling over the sides and drinking a goblet of wine. ââsent humans into the woods to find us. Requested audience with the prince to acknowledge his rightful place as royalty, at least among these lands- in return for cessation of attacks on travelers. ⌠Though really, weâve only gone after those who could afford to lose what they had-âÂ
  Again, guilt flooded his chest.Â
Here he was, telling this story to the only human who asked him to dance, who didnât think twice about asking an elf to dance- or maybe he had. Kyle didnât know- he didnât know the blond who spun him, who didnât quite fit in but didnât exactly stick out either. Even still, he felt himself already taking a shine to the human.Â
âThe reason why this- such a sweet, simple gesture as asking me to dance with you is because you approached me. Out of every other human here, the Elven guards- you came to the one person no one else has dared talk to.â Was that making it too obvious? Kyle wasnât entirely sure- but he was trying to gauge Kennethâs reaction.Â
Kenneth took pride in making people laugh. It especially felt like a compliment at such a stuffy affair. He decided he definitely brought some sunshine into Kyleâs day. Maybe that was a little arrogant of him to assume, but so what? Everyone loved a confident man.
He liked the fact that Kyle spun for him. To him, it signified that the Elven had an adventurous spirit that didnât do so well in this royal ballroom. When Kyle brought up the war, Kenneth replied, âSee, I try my best to ignore such stories.â He leaned close for a moment, whispering directly into Kyleâs pointed ear. âThe kingâs quite adept at telling tall tales, after all.â
Some humans would have considered that criticism treason, but Kenneth cared little. Those humans were all well-off. They lived cozy lives. They didnât have to resort to a life of thievery. They were born into a caste where they had it easy, while Kenneth and his family were born into a caste where they were meant to die in the streets. And once they were dead, they could simply be cast aside in an unmarked grave.
While some humans would have been cautious to trust an Elven, Kenneth didnât have a very hard time. His lot in life made it easy to relate to someone who faced discrimination. People always looked at him like he wasnât good enough to lick the boots he shined with polish and a cloth. Good thing he didnât have to spend his days toiling for alms anymore.
âAlthough some may consider me crazy, I have an easy time believing your story,â Kenneth said as Kyle finished. He continued to move with Kyle to the elegant chamber music. âIt must have been awful for you, Elven prince.â While Kyle hadnât flat out said he was the prince, the context clues of the story made Kenneth believe so. Every word sounded so personal and carried the weight of experience with it.

âOkay, dude, so keep your hat on. Nobodyâs judging.â Kenny chuckled. âBut think you need to relax.â

youjustdontknoweverythxng:
The lighter got dropped back into the bag, the cigarette case was put back into the leather bag in Kyleâs lap, and as it was opened to accept the metal case, a glimpse of insulin syringes and a small glass vial could be caught. Then the leather bag was zipped closed and gingerly tucked back into his messenger bag.Â
Kenny was a good guy- a good friend. Kyle exhaled shakily, trying to smile at him, though it didnât reach his eyes. âoh you know. Constant pain from my knee, though maybe thatâs not newâŚâ The attempt at a joke was weak at best. âStressed out of my mind, but thatâs not really new either.â Kenny was good, Kyle reminded himself, maybe trustworthy-Â
It was now or never.Â
He was out of his fucking mind.Â
âActually, youâre probably the best person for me to talk to- Iâve got a problem, see, and Iâ itâsââ he motioned vaguely, waving his cigarette. âItâs to the point where I havenât really eaten more than a breakfast bar and a lot of soda in the past twenty four hours, my body hates me for it but Iâm too stressed to keep much else down, you know?â Carefully, very carefully, he took care not to meet Kennyâs eyes.Â
This was a delicate topic, probably not the best thing to discuss outside their school, breaking the rules by sitting there smoking. Gently, Kyle stretched out his brace-bound knee.Â
The shine of the glass vial caught Kennyâs eye. Half the time, Kenny forgot Kyle was a diabetic. He didnât make himself into a target or a special case like that Scott Malkinson kid. Brief moments like this reminded him. This and the memory of Stan going all out to get Kyle a kidney, due to complications from his diabetes back when they were kids. He still remembered the jealousy he felt over that. As much as he hated it, it was probably better that nobody else but him and Cartman remembered his countless deaths.
Kenny raised his eyebrows as Kyle dove headfirst into announcing that he had a problem. He automatically mourned for all of the uneaten food. His empty stomach could have really used the company. But it was no good that Kyle wasnât eating. It probably made his sugar out of whack.
He noticed how Kyle avoided looking at his gaze. Kenny, on the other hand, continued to look at Kyle. He took another drag from his clove cigarette before he decided to speak. âWell, it sounds like the best thing for you to do is âget a little high,ââ Kenny said, doing a Towelie impression at the end. âHaha, where the fuckâs Towelie when you need him?â He put the cigarette to his lips again. Weed being legal in Colorado made it easier to obtain, but it still required a fake ID and a lax owner, as one needed to be twenty-one to buy from a dispensary. Of course, Kenny had his illegal connections, too, but he currently wasnât holding, as sad as that was.
It wouldâve been nice, as smoking could have helped Kyle relax and eat. The cigarettes would have to do for now.
âAnyway, you know Iâm all ears. If you wanna spill your guts, spill âem.â
youjustdontknoweverythxng:
The sudden voice beside him made Kyle jump, his eyes snapping back open. Fuck, Kenny had scared the shit out of him. He exhaled smoke through his nose, digging in his messenger bag-Â
âDonât go telling anyone, dude,â Kyle muttered around his cigaretteâ that fucking grin on Kennyâs faceâ ugh. Not helping the feeling in his stomach. He found what he was looking for: a small leather bag. Unzipping it, he kept its  contents concealed as he pulled out a metal cigarette case and flipped it open- one side held the tastes-like-Christmas-Djarum-black-cloves, the other held Camel Crushes. âTake your pick.â He offered the case to Kenny, fishing out a lighter from the recesses of his bag.Â
While Kenny picked, Kyle took a drag of his own cigarette- heâd kept the habit secret when he picked it up and then some. It was a rare occurrence when he smoked and rarer that anyone knew, but in times like these- when his stress made him feel like puking-  he fell into the old habit for relief.Â
All things considered, he was glad it was Kenny who had discovered him and not someone nosier, someone likely to rat him out or cause him hell in keeping the secret. Kenny would be more likely to want to bum them from Kyle rather than hold it over his head- or so Kyle hoped.Â
âFancy, fancy.â Kenny never had the option to be picky. Being poor left him with little choices, so Kyle actually giving one made him feel pretty boss. He decided to pick one of the Djarum Blacks to walk on the wild side. It wasnât the first time he had one, however. He once got rewarded with a pack for giving oral to one of the goth kids behind the Village Inn. âA class act all the way.â He leaned in appreciatively, taking a drag after Kyle lit it and thankful to have not gotten set on fire. Accidents still happened to him.
âSo whatâs new with you?â Kenny asked, watching Kyle, grin still intact despite the otherâs alarm from his presence. He decided not to ask if Kyle would play anymore basketball this season. It seemed like a dumb question. âTaking a break from being nose deep in a book?â
It had been a while since heâd shot the shit with Kyle. Something definitely seemed to be on the redheadâs mind from how tense he looked. But Kenny wasnât the type to pry. He liked helping his friends, sure, but he didnât want to force anything on them. He knew help didnât always come in the most obvious ways. Sometimes, an escape was the best thing. Maybe this conversation could be that for Kyle.
                                     ~open~
By this time of day, the high school lot was mostly empty- the kids staying after for sports or clubs were still around, but anyone who wasnât had usually gone. Kyle used to be one of the kids who stayed after back when he played basketball, but an accident the summer prior left him with a brace on his knee and out of the game.Â
It sucked, but it was currently the least of his worries. No, the thing that weighed on his mind was- almost more daunting, in a way. And it was what had him sitting on the steps of the school, actually smoking in public as he tried to calm his raw nerves.Â
He was trying to weigh his options, his eyes closed as he mulled over his decision. He felt sick.
âWhoa, shit damn. Youâre the last person I thought Iâd bum a cigarette from,â Kenny said, plopping down next to Kyle on the steps. Seeing Kyle with a brace on his knee was sad. Kenny wasnât a regular at the basketball games, but heâd seen enough to know how much ass Kyle kicked back when he could play. Not being able to play now must have felt frustrating. But at least the injury wasnât life threatening...
He flashed Kyle a shit-eating grin. âSo whaddya say? Gonna play nice and share, dude?â he asked, extending his palm.
Honestly, Kenny had no business at the school. Extracurriculars werenât his thing; most of his free time was spent doing damage control for his shitty home life. At the very least, he had walked with Karen until she met up with Ruby. The two of them left school together to go spend time at the Tucker household. Now Kenny was just killing time until he picked her up. Home was the last place he wanted to go.

youjustdontknoweverythxng:
The elf allowed himself to be led in the waltz, though he wondered if the man who asked him to dance actually knew how to. He smiled slightly- the question itself was enough to give away the other.Â
Still, it drew a small laugh. Why anyone would sneak into one of these was beyond him- he was only here because he had to be. Because it was show of good faith, bringing the elven prince out of hiding, showing that peace could be achieved.Â
Yeah.Â
Right.Â
âYou can call me Kyle,â he replied- while it wasnât inaccurate, Elven names were usually longer, and he used this moniker to avoid scaring off the only human to talk to him not of obligation. âAnd yourself, ser?â It was coy, a small smile on his face.Â
Eyes were on them. The prince was dancing with someone- someone the other nobles did not seem to recognize. Murmurs. There were murmurs around them, but no one stopped dancing, no one singled them out-Â
And truthfully, the prince felt a little guilty, not divulging his name, putting this human in the way of trouble for dancing with him.Â
Ah but, his brain reminded, humans were why you were away so long. Exiled when your kingdom was taken in your youth. So what if this one may not have been one of them? Let him deal with whatever consequences- but then the other argument arose: he is the only person here who has treated me like any other.Â
That stung.Â
ââŚPerhaps, ser, I should tell you, since Iâm lead to believe youâre not on the list to be here. This- is a celebration. A motion at peace between humans and elves. I suppose this kingdomâs become fed up with my people taking over your forests.â But when he said my people it was more of My People.Â
The elves.Â
His elves. His subjects.Â
The small laugh aroused Kennethâs curiosity. He wondered if the Elven was laughing at him or just because he was happy. Hopefully, he didnât stick out like a sore thumb. The fun had just begun, and he hadnât even gotten the chance to do a little pickpocketing.
âKennethâs the name, though my closet companions call me Kenny.â Kenny sounded less dignified. Maybe it even gave away his status. Kyle, on the other hand, sounded like a human name. He didnât know why he trusted the other enough to say his nickname, but Kenneth tended to be a pretty casual, even if he wasnât always the most open in all regards. But there was truth in the phrase of âbeing as thick as thieves,â and he certainly kept his cohorts close.
He felt the eyes on them from the masses. He didnât know if they were staring at him, Kyle, or both of them. He knew humans and elves didnât have the best history. Perhaps the two of them dancing together was making some kind of statement. He hadnât thought too much about it until now. He just liked Kyleâs face. And his derrière. His personality was panning out to be fine so far, too. Maybe he wouldnât end up stealing directly from Kyle.
His heart skipped a beat when Kyle called him out. His smile only faltered for a moment, and he kept dancing with the other, raising their arms up to let Kyle do a spin if he decided to. âOh, is that a fact? I make efforts at keeping out of politics. But pray tell,â he said, not admitting directly to the fact that he was uninvited. He tried not to incriminate himself.
