as opposed to everyone else I absolutely do not think it was barnes. at all. I believe it was a callback to the "butterfly dreaming of being a man" thing mr reed was talking about. I think it was also meant to imply that paxton had died, and it was referencing her wish to be reincarnated as a butterfly -> thus being a butterfly dreaming of her escape.

#also her having bled out so much that in her last moments she was dreaming of that hope that a miracle would happen and shed be saved.#i do believe barnes ever came back and hit mr reed. i believe that mr reed stabbed her in the throat and in her last moments #dont*#she imagined all of that as an escape.#asks #heretic
