I was always told that when training a horse make sure you always end on a high note, make sure the horse understand that they did a good job. Today was that high note to end on with my partner for the past 2.5 years. If you told me after our first ride that we would end up scoring a 74.4% in a Training Level Freestyle I would have said you were crazy. Donogal, you have been the best show partner and horse (and human) trainer possible. You gave me the confidence in myself and showed me what it means to forgive and give 110% every second. I want to give a huge thank you to @saraeschmitt0302 for letting me ride and show Donogal over the past couple of years. I also want to thank @moleary414 for taking the time to train us, make me think about waffles when I'm stressing at horse shows, and for helping choreograph and fix the music to our freestyle. A huge thank you to @claure02 for trailering us to Applewood today, coaching and training us over the past couple of years, and for always showing me the positive in my rides even when my nerves get the best of me. Thank you to @lilym674 for grooming, braiding, and videoing today and for all of your love and care to this nug when I'm gone. Thank you to Katie for helping me put together my freestyle music! Thank you to @kellynvf for letting Donogal be used as a lesson horse and for this partnership to have happened at Sara Schmitt Dressage. Last but certainly not least, a huge thank you to the whole @saraschmittdressage family who have supported Donogal and my partnership in everyway possible. It certainly takes a village and I couldn't be happier to be a part of this village. This is one special nugget. He plodded around the ring for an up-down lesson perfectly and then was able to do some counter canter, simple changes, shoulders and hunches in, leg yields, and trot and center lengthens with me immediately after. He is truly a special pony and I'm so grateful to be able to ride and grow with him ♡♡ #Donogal #SaraSchmittDressage #letsplaydressage #secondlevelgoals

This nugget always gives 110% and today was no less. If there years ago you told me we'd be able to let yield off-property, let alone get through First 2 in a muddy, wet ring I would have said you were crazy! But today the grey nugget turned pinto so he could strut his stuff through First 1 and 2 to win both classes. We wouldn't be anywhere without the amazing training from @saraschmittdressage @moleary414 and @claure02 !
