Grillby’s moving to the surface meant at least one thing for Beeps: a job opening. Either he could keep an eye on the place while Grillby set up on the surface, or he would be setting things up himself while Grillby stayed behind until things were suitable. The former turned out to be true, as the flame elemental wouldn’t trust a new applicant with the latter yet, but he did secure a secondary position at the surface location before long.
For once, the cat’s overly expressive demeanor took on a more subdued tone. He’d find a seat at the counter on his lunch break, and settle on a bowl of hot wings. He was still getting himself acclimated with spicy food, but he had to admit--they hurt so good.
