Most of the conversations about the manga on here that I've seen haven't really mentioned how she lost her job after the author of Act-Age was exposed for being a pedophile and sexual harasser and how Shounen Jump promised she'd get another manga only to leave her in limbo for literal years (outside of a single oneshot work soon after Act-Age's cancellation).

It was deeply upsetting for me because, while she wasn't the primary victim (and said as much in her statement offering support to the victim and basically demanding that the manga end, even though they were about to have a stage play adaptation), her work was profoundly inspiring to me.

I'm glad that she gets the chance to start again with a new collaborator in the form of Osamu Nishi and I hope this one does well!

and you just wanna keep exploring your other “options” just say it like it is

You gave the most cold response and didn’t even check up on me the entire WHOLE week, that’s disrespectful. I was the one who reached out.

I tried to let that shit go because we don’t hold things against each other, i acknowledged and took into consideration about our failed plan for v-day, (i wanted to so badly make it up to you( but you couldn’t do the same for me? you couldn’t apologize for your cold response?

Were you talking to your other “options” during this period?

i also feel like i do this cuz im overcompensating for being a difficult person and over apologizing and explaining reasons why for everything when i dont really owe anyone that?? especially if people don’t explain shit to me. like i had a change in plans today and i was about to tell her the play by play of how i found out my mom was feeling sick lmao. i literally stopped myself. i was like no… i don’t need to explain this at all???
