In case you don’t know, every year I participate in the AIDS walk to help combat HIV and AIDS. The walk not only serves to raise money for different organizations that are raising money to help find a cure for AIDS, it’s also building awareness and acceptance for those who do have AIDS. The walk is meant to destroy all the stereotypes surrounding AIDS and HIV. not only fighting AIDS, but also supporting lgbtqa+/mogai, people of all races, gender equality, disabled and mentally ill people, and much much more, in an attempt to destroy all the negativity around them. The walk is also able to bring many different types of people, in all shapes and colors, together for a common purpose: to join in the fight against AIDS
My school creates a team every year that plans to collectively donate, within all the kids in my school, $5,000 to support the AIDS walk! Now I know we can’t do this all on our own, so I’ve come here to ask you guys for help.
This blog has come pretty far since its days back in August. We’re bordering on 1,000 followers, and I’m hoping that some of you would be willing to help out.
If you have anything to spare even if it’s just a penny, I would really appreciate it if you could help us out and donate at ny.aidswalk.net/ashleyd . We’ve been waiting for this all year so we’d love to see this walk be a great success!
So please, if you can, donate! And if you can’t, I would really appreciate it if you could all signal boost this post and help us get awareness for this walk and maybe help us get a few donations for our cause!
