Darkwing Duck Original Character Month - Day 30 “OC and OC (Romantic, Platonic, Familial)”

Domino and Marty, aka Domarty was the first OC ship Domino had with a character I didn’t make. It happened in a RP group I was a part of a few years back (still in the server, we just haven’t RPed in a good year) in which both me and my friend who made Marty joked about the two hitting it off.

BOY, DID IT GO PLACES FROM THERE

Domarty went on to having a dramatic, loving and truly lovely relationship that progressed along the various storylines. Both of them became inspired by each other to be better people, going after their dreams and even cutting themselves off from FOWL when the organization was abusing them (In this RP scenario at least). 

I have such a soft spot for the whole thing, and I do love this loving family Domino found for himself in that RP <333

Honestly it was just a random thing my friends and I did turning our OCs into werewolves cause it was neat XD 

There was a small AU with Domarty though, set with Marty being a villager wandering into the forbidden woods to find herbal plants for his mother and finding a small cottage with Domino in it. He helps him, and tells Marty to go home before nightfall lest the beast that’s been rampaging the village get him. Obvs, this beast is Domino, who got cursed by a witch that killed Checkers many years ago, but Marty doesn’t put the two together until much later and instead travels back daily to see Domino as he’s fallen for him. Once he found out the truth, Marty helps Domino in his beast form and protects him from the village.

Loony Toony is an adopted sister, yes. She was assigned to the Northern Base and Checkers latched onto her immediately as a little sister. Domino was a bit more hesitant, finding her antics to be a bit much, but the three of them were like a family. When Checkers passed away, Domino wanted to look out for Loony more in his absence, and ended up growing closer with her. The loons look out for each other, it’s very precious.

Marty is the bartender of a bar that Steelbeak owns and manages in an RP discord group me and his creator are in. In that RP, Steelbeak and Ammonia Pine are a married couple, and Domino had to deal with a broken heart as a result. Marty got a crush on Domino on his own, much to his internal confusion and panic, but put Domino’s well being first and didn’t make any kinds of moves on him. They became friends, and over time, more than that, because Domino slowly but surely fell in love with this tough penguin with a hidden heart of gold. Domarty makes me weak, I don’t know what to tell you lol
