your 20s feels like life is ALWAYS over, like you're grieving something every single day. it's embarrassing. one day you wake up like "???" like it starts fall into place at the same time while actively getting worse. shedding skin constantly. painfully moving on from things you thought you never would. loving from a distance. figuring out what love is. working overtime to create the reality you want to see. while accepting you already got it like that now. but it's like. i know i have no choice but to win even if life is whacking me again and again. when i lay my head on my pillow i have to constantly remind myself all of my grandmother's prayers aren't going to go to waste. sometimes your biggest lesson hides behind the corny platitudes your elders told you when you were a child. like, yeah, this too shall pass and i'll be alright and see why i had to go through it anyway. it really DOES always work out. and maybe you are your biggest hater for telling yourself otherwise i fear.
