#dollarama

I tend to indulge in the nontoxic dollarama modeling clay

So I tried some of the yarn from Dollarama. The brand is called "knit it!" - it's okay, it's $1.50. You get 136 yards per skein. My store didn't have a wide selection of colors, but it had a couple. (I have red, pink, off white, white, black and this forest green.) It's 70% polyster and 30% cotton. for a small con - it doesn't tell you the hook size to use. (I did just use a 5.5MM, and later I changed to a 6MM.) So it seems like it's more up to you to figure it out. Smell wise it doesn't smell yucky. (it has no smell) texture wise it's okay. Although it does split a fair bit. (It honestly makes me think of embroidery floss. xD) I did use it for an hour and I don't mind it, like it's not tiring my hands out, I don't see any dye on my hands. (I used black and pink, my hands look fine.) I don't think I'd use it for wearables. But I was wanting something for doing granny squares and making coasters/drink cosys. (not for anything hot. But just to protect surfaces from condensation from drinks. But also to protect my hands. cause cold things hurt, and I'm not a huge fan of having purple finger nails, y'know?) I think so far tho it's pretty cool. I just sorta wanted to try dollarama yarn because it's the closet thing in walking distances to my house and sometimes going for a walk for craft supplies can be really nice. (plus wtf is with micheals prices??? ;-; )
