Ellie’s hand tighten on your hips as you lean closer to focus on the mascara that you’re applying on her auburn eyelashes.

“I just wanted to ask how the makeup’s going..” Ellie murmurs quietly. You smile and pat her cheek so she can open her eyes.

“The makeup is done.. you look pretty..” You’re about to get off her lap when Ellie gently grabs your wrist. You pause and she chuckle,

“I look pretty?” She asks, as if you told her aliens were real. You nod and laugh,

“Is it normal for friends to be like this?” Her voice is shaky.

“What type of stuff? I’m just doing your makeup Els” The question is given with a half scoff half laugh. Ellie hesitates then looks at you, and you’re giving her that look that says, “You started the conversation, you finish it.” And yeah, that works.

“Nevermind.. ‘M sorry.. I wasted your time..” You shake your head and grab her hands. She did this all the time, she thinks what she’s saying is stupid and then shuts down and doesn’t speak.

“Nuh uh.. no you didn’t.. Talk to me Els..” You demand gently. Ellie hesitates for a minute, but then she spits it out.

“I just feel like.. ya know.. us.. We’re more than just best friends.. or.. at least I want to be..” Your eyes widen, Ellie is about to turn away and you grab her hand.

“You want that..?” You ask softly. She nods. Then, without thinking, you kiss her. Ellie tenses up but then she relaxes. Her hand lifts up to your cheek as she leans into you. Her hand runs down your body and hooks it over your waist.

“..Y/n..” Ellie hums against your lips. You pull away to reply but she tugs your waist and kisses you again, which jerks a giggle out of you. You guys both giggle against each others lips. Ellie whispers,
