Well I wasn’t. Isn’t that great?! So many moments where things, and events and people were just… amazing, all on their own, without secretly being aliens, or time travelers or what have you. Amazing people just like you. You are truly one of my favorite people on the internet, someone I respect and I’m impressed by, and so for this end of the year, I want to give you something. I know you like stories, so I’m going to set up a link to the Library, yes *the* library. You can do research, and send things to River, she’ll love it. Connection may be a bit dodgy at times, since there’s flesh eating shadows there, but you know, no internet connection is perfect.

So were you there at the Maccabean Revolt at all? I'd like to ask you about how things went then, if you were there to see. The way my mom tells it, it's a story that's been heavily romanticized in the interceding centuries... But, you know, if it gives people hope and inspiration now, and an excuse to play games and get presents, I'm not going to complain about that!

And speaking of presents... I'm at a loss for words, I... Thank you. What an incredible gift. I'm not going to say "you don't know what this means to me," because I've a feeling you do. I've had this dream house layout in my mind since I was little, and it has a big library in it, like in Beauty and the Beast. But this library, the Library...!

I promise I'll be careful how I use it--spoilers and all--but... my god, research with Professor River Song...! This present, ironically full of words, is beyond words.

Went out with the Doctor for ice creams. It was really very nice - total lack of explosions, aliens, life-or-death threats.

I mean, it could have been cocktails on the Moon. That has yet to be delivered upon, by the way.

He does have some odd ideas about what to put in an ice cream float, though.
