“ARCH” (@theefuneralparty) is the dance-tastic B_Side from TOPOGRAPHIES’ latest 7” single & it finds San Francisco-based trio of bassist Justin Oronos, guitarist Jeremie Ruest & vocalist Gray Tolhurst bringing a compressed bout of gloomy GothPop that’ll no doubt send plenty of melancholic heads towards the nearest darkened dancehall w/ their blend of dreamy NuWave.

“GIVE IT BACK” (@wharfcatrecords-blog) is WEAK SIGNAL’s contribution to their latest split 7” w/ Cass McCombs & it finds the NY-based trio of vocalist/guitarist Mike Bones, bassist/vocalist Sasha Vine & drummer Tran bringing 2 ½ mins of bare boned & bashed out IndieRawk that oozes plenty of twanged-out charisma & SST-esque grit.

“FASCINATION” is the final single/title track from @buzzkull forthcoming LP (11/25 Avant! Recs) & it finds Marc Dwyer’s Sydney-based project expertly dipping its toes into the bodied-up & industrialized waters of “90’s era Front 242 & Front Line Assembly” w/out abandoning any of that darkened poppiness.

CHAT PILE are lending their talents to an upcoming independent film & do so by unleashing “TENKILLER,” the title track from said film which’ll also see the light of day as a cassette single via @theflenser (11/18) & it finds the Oklahoma City-based quartet of vocalist Raygun Busch, guitarist Luther Manhole, bassist Stin & drummer Captain Ron bringing a very on-brand piece of molasses-like sludge.

Bodies, was one of a couple interesting sections to read. it spoke about women and how they are linked to the world through their bodies “…they have become, property and value for their exchangeability among men.” Because of the genetic make up of women, and the culture they may come from women are seen as less then men.
