Hmm, so I could see them making traditions out of places/moments where they remind each other to live life because their kids would be the result of that life they talked about back then.

So, like, I think they would continue the tradition of going to the lake house because Elena went with her parents

but also because:

I have spoken a great deal about how important the ferris wheel is to both Stefan and Elena

so I think going to the carnival would be a tradition for the family because

A yearly hike up the hill

Cooking Thursday night dinner together or something

I could see them reading a book together as a family especially when the kids are younger

I could also see it being a tradition where they chaperone the decades dances together

Elena was sired to damon from the moment she had that blood in the cellar and as a vampire her feelings being magnified for damon, I feel that despite all this, - she was still deeply wrapped up in stefan and still so affected by him

The rooftop where she is promising him a forever, and her " if I want " has no relevance because this was the forever she was fighting for throughout the previous season by not giving up on him

when stefan talks about heightened senses, and elena is completely taken by him

when she learns to feed on humans with Damon she still reassures stefan that he is the only one who is truly helping her to get through her transition

When she get's high on human blood and losses her control

Like How much she is afraid and affected with rebekah asking stefan to erase her memory

Then with her humanity off, she was continuously putting damon down but with stefan

And then again the sired,no humanity elena shuts damon down

But when it comes down to stefan , she is moved by him even without her emotions , so much that she even continues to dance with him
