what’s better about shadowhunters show vs the books? well let’s see. alec, Izzy, Jace, Maia are all in their mid 20’s so there isn’t any inappropriate or gross age gaps. yes book Malec, I’m talking about you. oh what else? Magnus actually respects and communicates with Alec in a healthy way. hundred years old warlock isn’t chasing and pressuring a barely 18 year old to come out. when alec isn’t ready to come out, Jace and Magnus pressure him and Magnus basically says if you won’t come out, you don’t love me. yeah, yikes. oh, what else? well, Simon doesn’t cheat in the show. the incest between Clary and Jonathan is a lot more toned down in the show, oh and we don’t have to watch clace try to get together when they think they’re related. Simon and Maia are actually given more of a chance in the show. Maryse has growth in the show while her book counterpart doesn’t. Max doesn’t die in the show. while some storylines aren’t handled well in the show like yin fein, body switch, and season 3, at least other characters are given storylines instead of only being in a story to serve clace. so yes, I would take 100 seasons of the show and hope for some better writing than be stuck in the books where the writing stays the same and worsens in the books.

I love when Cas loses his powers and inability to fight for a minute and then comes back, all fury, exposing his wings, and showing everyone he is that bitch. y’all were winning for a moment but Cas will always come back and show everyone that he is Castiel. he is to be feared and you will be awed by his aura. don’t come for Dean because Cas will do everything in his power to save Dean AT ALL COSTS. and this is why you don’t mess with Dean Winchester because while Dean is powerful on his own, you have to go through Castiel first.

there’s so many changes I’m thankful that they did with shadowhunters show but my main one, the one I’m most thankful for is upping their ages. I’d rather not watch a hundreds year old warlock chase a barely 17 year old Alec, who also makes Alec feel like shit if he doesn’t come out immediately to a homophobic society and clave, who can’t communicate but instead says “it’s the past” oh and who sleeps with Alec when he’s hardly 18. it also makes alot more sense that alec is inexperienced at around 24-25 because he has closed off his heart and he truly feels like he can’t be happy out. whoever made this happen, I hope you have the best life ever, I love you, thank you

it must’ve been wild to be an outsider visiting the NY institute because what do you mean an 18 year old who is barely a shadowhunter is running the show and the all the blame after shit goes sideways goes to the gay shadowhunter? what do you mean yall almost lost the cup because the annoying shadowhunter and barely shadowhunter took it to an AU? WHAT DO YOU MEAN ALEC LIGHTWOOD IS PAYING FOR EVERYTHING HE DIDNT DO BUT HEY, AT LEAST HE GOT TO KISS THE SPARKLY HOT WARLOCK!
