No humanity-Elena calling Caroline out is so refreshing every single time.
Do u think it made sense for elena to say damon was going to save stefan from himself on s3.
i mean, they push that in dialogue
and we're supposed to see that because stefan can never let damon die even when he's not supposed to care about anything so it's like as long as stefan keeps saving damon then he's not too far gone
but when it comes to what actually gets him through or gets through to him and to hold on to his humanity,
and what causes an internal shift in him
and what actually causes him to feel and reflect
and when he thinks about standards of humanity
it's elena. stefan even says it
like even with damon "helping" stefan with the blood bags, he says he'll do that in 3x16 and then 3x17 picks up the next day and all we really see is damon say this
but when stefan actually needs help, it's elena's presence he relies on
which keeps in line with 3x03 where you think he's too far gone but it turns out he's not
or 3x05 where he's pushing away the personification of his bloodlust and non-humanity
I forgot how great Stelena-episode 3x17 is.
The Sirebond story also kept bringing up an "issue" which wasn't even the problem. Damon keep repeating that Elena's feelings for him aren't real and her keep saying that they feel real. (Which was very annoying too). The point is even Elena said Tyler explained to her the Sirebond impacts how she behaves. Meaning even if she has feelings for Damon normally doesn't mean she would have slept with him. She only slept with him and is in a relationship with him because Damon wants it and it makes him happy that's how the Sirebond works. So the whole "feelings" topic wasn't the main issue they tried to make either. Gosh what were these writers on? And honestly the Sirebond never stopped their cheap way to test it with suddenly Elena not wanting the cure was utter bs. Damon doesn't want her to be cured he even admitted it himself on that island so ofc Elena will refuse to take the cure. She is Damon's slave the whole time. This poor girl. This is so gross.
Yeah, true. And you know, Julie mentioned in an interview that she didn’t even know the meaning of agency when she was writing this storyline, and that’s pathetic. Of course, the entire season is about Elena being stripped of her agency and Damon using her. Even when he made her feed from him in 4x02, it was an assault because he knew she was with Stefan. Blood-sharing is personal, and he told Elena not to tell Stefan because he knew it was wrong, but he still went on to do it. He used Elena’s vulnerability to fulfill his own fantasy. The entire “I feel alive with Damon” and “you make me feel good” narrative is just an illusion because that’s what Damon told her. The entire thing was so gross because she was trapped with Damon against her own will, and all he cared about was, “I got the girl.” That man is pathetic.

It's nice news that the writer Julie said that at the end Elena would have found her way back to Stefan. But honestly there's no way they could have done that. The first mistake was to let Elena that much near to Damon (letting him sleep with her). From then on Damon would never let Elena go he's an obsessive lunatic. He even threatened Elena (Katherine in her body) to kill her own bother if she won't get back with him. Now yes he killed her brother before after she rejected him and that should have killed every feeling from her towards him tbh but then she at last could cut him off her life better because he hadn't touched her intimately. This is like real life women are afraid of leaving their men because they know they would kill them and their loved ones. Either they would have had to completely change Damon's character which would make him a new character or kill him off because there's no way he would let Elena be with Stefan again no.
Yes, and I just think it all became pathetic at that point. Elena was no longer herself; she was just a puppet. Literally, when she finds out Damon hid the cure, he tells her to her face that he’s selfish and lets Lily destroy the cure, and she doesn’t even care. Then she takes the cure, and she’s still with him, playing into his fantasy. Like, how could they just shut her brain off like that? How could they make her ignore how selfish and pathetic Damon was? There’s no way, like you said, that Damon would’ve taken the rejection without hurting her or her family. She would’ve had to face the consequences eventually. Like, seriously.
Delena was just Nian. Remember the morning bed scene in 4x08 like I was surprised they went that far to show actual sex in a CW show. It's only because Ian and Nina were together at that time and dared to go that far. The irony is they broke up shortly after in real life and it affected Delena massively their scenes after that are cringe and Delenas have never won.
I know, the entire S4–S6 Delena was just Ian and Nina’s awkwardness in every scene. I just think 4x08 was literally nothing but them trying to create Delena using Nian’s real-life relationship. It was just awkward. And even in 4x08, when they took it that far, it still looked gross, with Nina/Elena looking awkward throughout the entire scene. Their chemistry was nowhere to be found; it just was JP and CD were writing fanfiction to fulfill their own desires for these characters.
I don't believe she didn't know but just tries to save her ass now. Kevin wanted Stelena from the beginning till the end that I do believe. But Julie never. After Ian and Nina broke up it was the perfect opportunity to break them up that was in Season 5 already. But she chose not to and made everything worse with them keep ending up in bed.
A very telling part is literally the morning scene with Delena and Caroline and Stefan parallel in 4x08. When Caroline mentioned that Elena's only desire is to make Damon happy no matter what because of the sire bond and it cut to Delena having sex the writers proved there they knew. They're disgusting.
// Yeah, true. And you know, Julie mentioned in an interview that she didn’t even know the meaning of agency when she was writing this storyline, and that’s pathetic.
Yeah, I don’t believe her at all. I’ve never believed that she truly cared about Stelena, and I don’t trust that she would’ve made them endgame.
Because, honestly, the way she treated Stelena in Season 6 says otherwise. She drastically reduced their screen time and didn’t even let them have a proper goodbye because she thought it would overshadow Delena. That’s not how you treat a couple you claim was supposed to be your endgame.
She also never takes accountability. She always blames someone else. With Klaroline, she said she would’ve made them endgame but didn’t because she wanted Caroline to honour Stefan’s memory. Then she said she wanted Steroline to be endgame in the end but She blames kevin that he ruined the Steroline endgame. With Stelena, she blames Nina. Like she has a different excuse for every ship.
To me, she’s just a liar.
And you know, I genuinely think the Stelena ending we got only happened because of Kevin. Otherwise, Julie seemed perfectly happy letting Stefan end up with Caroline. It was Kevin who basically was like “nahh If Stefan can’t end up with Elena, then he shouldn’t end up with anyone else.”
Kevin was the one who gave us a proper Stelena ending, one that honoured their love and made them feel like the true emotional endgame. That’s why I believe the ending we got was because of Kevin. He proved it by giving us an ending that acknowledged what Stelena meant to each other.
So no, I don’t think Julie ever truly cared. To me, it was always like she was saying whatever she thought fans wanted to hear. Thank goodness Kevin was there in the end to honour Stelena’s love and give us the ending we did get.
Not many talk about the on set drama which unfortunately influenced a lot of the story of the show too. It's not only fans who get the blame like mister Ian keeps like to say. First Ian himself was a huge Delena fan in the beginning when he still was with Nina and rooted a lot for it and stood in for it. I think it would have happened probably earlier if it wasn't for Kevin and Nina who are for Stelena.
In that book which came out recently Julie talked about how Ian and Matt (the actor of Alaric) were very jealous of Paul and Joseph and how they had such cool storylines and character traits and even threatened her to leave the show? So childish but given their outside behaviour not even far fetched. So that's why Alaric got that original vampire killer storyline at the end and probably Damon got Sage and Rebekah at the end of season 3. Hilarious because Ian was so famous amongst fans, dated Nina and got all the awards yet he was jealous of Paul. Julie said there was lot's of frustration going on when The Originals came in especially with Ian and Matt. And love Paul for shading Ian here and there sometimes, Ian's arrogance and his fans ruined The Vampire Diaries after S3.
Well, these are all the reasons why there was so much favouritism towards Damon throughout the show. A lot of it came down to Ian’s and Julie’s obsession with him I don’t know much about the behind-the-scenes drama, but based on the things you mentioned, it does make sense because Paul’s story and performance were far, far stronger than Ian’s. But the constant favouritism towards Damon and Ian made the entire show biased.
Thinking of how Stefan was always the right choice not because of the way he loved Elena, but because of the way he chose to love her, which was beyond their relationship, their status of whether they were together or not, or even time itself. The moment he knew Elena chose Damon, he didn’t pursue her or emotionally manipulate her because she was happy. Even when he had no memories and found out that Elena had left him for Damon, anybody would have started to hate her in that situation, but nah Stefan was like, I can never hate you and he even saved her from Tessa despite having every reason to resent her. Even without his memories and knowing the truth, he still fell in love with her and not even for a moment did his feelings waver. And even when he knew she might not be coming back, he still loved her and saved her because he loved her enough to let her go. But that didn’t mean he had to stop loving her, because he proved that he loved her enough to let her be happy with someone else while he still loved her, cared for her, and ultimately gave his life so that she could live hers with Damon. If there was any love that was right from start to finish, it was his, and I will never get tired of appreciating that about him.

Not Delena’s always claiming that Elena chose Damon both as a vampire and as a human (in S6), because they conveniently forget that vampire Elena was sired to him, and human Elena stayed human for, what, three days? Then she went into a coma. Even during that short period, she was saying things like, “It stirs feelings,” and “I love you so much.” Those were her last words to Stefan. And when he died, she chose to visit his grave for the rest of her life and write about him-about how he brought her back to life and how he was the reason for her epic life-rather than spend those days with Damon or write about him. and when Stefan was dead, she chose to stay connected to his memory, to write about him, and to keep talking about him. That only proves that she chose him and would have always chosen him over Damon because she proved it until the very end who her true love was. It’s literally not that difficult to understand.
HOW WOULD YOU GO ABOUT DYING THAT MUCH HAIR
HOW MUCH HAIR DYE WOULD YOU NEED
We are going to say it takes 3 containers for a foot of hair, along with the thickness of her hair. Takig in those that factor along with the fact that Rapunzel’s hair is approx. 70 feet (canonically), that makes 70 x 3 =
210
She would need 210 containers of hairdye.
That’s a lot. Wonder how much it cost?
Well hair die costs $6.99 at Walmart. Let’s round that up to $7.00. So multiply 210 containers by 7 dollars and you get $1,470.
It would cost her around $1,500 to die all her hair blue

Missing Forwood, especially from seasons 1-3. Haven't really kept my Caroline dislike as a secret, but the second season was truly her peak. Sadly, it was all a more or less slow downhill from there.

Hearing Nia Peeples say Pam should have more fun and try swinging other way for a moment somehow made my day.
