"Magnus, Magnus?" I felt myself awaken. Alec looked at Magnus with his "I'm so concerned" face. Magnus rubbed at his eyes and offered Alec a "I'm functioning" look. "Alexander, I'am fine. You have other worries." Alexander never makes me feel as if I'm too much but bad habits die hard, right? Alexander feels guilty about how I was stuck in Valentine's body. Alec and I had to convince the clave that I truly am Magnus Bane. I watched as Imogen saw me as a monster. Alec fought so hard against Imogen. If a downworlder tried to do what Imogen did, it would be the end of the world. Shadowhunter's get to keep their titles and continue to rise in the clave.

I'll never forget the trauma and torment I was forced to. It felt as if a dagger was going into my body continuously, murdering me with a vision that forced its way into my mind. Maybe I'd rather be dead than having to live through this hell. How long I spent trying to forget and block entry to my trauma. No, dont think, seriously control alt delete this nightmare. "Magnus, I can stay with you today. I can get someone else to escort Valentine-" Alec began to say. "Alexander, don't be ridiculous. You have to go. Anyways, I have work to do." Alec kissed Magnus's forehead and went to the door. Magnus rolled his eyes playfully and pushed Alec out the door. "I'll see you later my love."

Magnus shut the door and sighed to himself. "Great. Now I'm alone with my thoughts. How fucking fantastic is this?" Magnus said to himself. As much as I want Alec near me, I don't wish to burden him. I know he feels guilty. Alec noticed right away that I wasn't myself but he had to fight the clave. Maybe I can change my hair. That always consoles me. What color, what style? Oh, so many options. Maybe I should drink a whole bottle of whiskey first. I was about to snap away a lavender streak when I heard a knock on the door.

I swear if this is Alexander- Magnus opened the door, surprised to see a friend at the door. "Hello, my dear friend", the familiar said softly. Magnus quickly drew Catarina in a hug and tried to hold himself together. Catarina touched Magnus's face. "I am here for you. Lets get you a drink. Whiskey rock?" Well, I do love a good drink.

this is an idea I have that since posting about how Magnus doesn't have his friends near when he's going through shit. I haven't added it to a03 yet, but I'm thinking of making it a "trauma release story" maybe three parts??? anyone interested in this kind of story? I genuinely dont know if anyone really enjoys what I write

what’s better about shadowhunters show vs the books? well let’s see. alec, Izzy, Jace, Maia are all in their mid 20’s so there isn’t any inappropriate or gross age gaps. yes book Malec, I’m talking about you. oh what else? Magnus actually respects and communicates with Alec in a healthy way. hundred years old warlock isn’t chasing and pressuring a barely 18 year old to come out. when alec isn’t ready to come out, Jace and Magnus pressure him and Magnus basically says if you won’t come out, you don’t love me. yeah, yikes. oh, what else? well, Simon doesn’t cheat in the show. the incest between Clary and Jonathan is a lot more toned down in the show, oh and we don’t have to watch clace try to get together when they think they’re related. Simon and Maia are actually given more of a chance in the show. Maryse has growth in the show while her book counterpart doesn’t. Max doesn’t die in the show. while some storylines aren’t handled well in the show like yin fein, body switch, and season 3, at least other characters are given storylines instead of only being in a story to serve clace. so yes, I would take 100 seasons of the show and hope for some better writing than be stuck in the books where the writing stays the same and worsens in the books.

I love when Cas loses his powers and inability to fight for a minute and then comes back, all fury, exposing his wings, and showing everyone he is that bitch. y’all were winning for a moment but Cas will always come back and show everyone that he is Castiel. he is to be feared and you will be awed by his aura. don’t come for Dean because Cas will do everything in his power to save Dean AT ALL COSTS. and this is why you don’t mess with Dean Winchester because while Dean is powerful on his own, you have to go through Castiel first.

there’s so many changes I’m thankful that they did with shadowhunters show but my main one, the one I’m most thankful for is upping their ages. I’d rather not watch a hundreds year old warlock chase a barely 17 year old Alec, who also makes Alec feel like shit if he doesn’t come out immediately to a homophobic society and clave, who can’t communicate but instead says “it’s the past” oh and who sleeps with Alec when he’s hardly 18. it also makes alot more sense that alec is inexperienced at around 24-25 because he has closed off his heart and he truly feels like he can’t be happy out. whoever made this happen, I hope you have the best life ever, I love you, thank you

DIFFERENCES OF FIRST EPISODE OF SHADOWHUNTERS VS THE BOOKS

I’d just like to point out how awful the books are and how much better the show is 😌

BOOK: the whole attention is on clace. mortal cup this and mortal cup that. so if I remember (I thought I locked this memory forever) correctly, basically clary kills this demon and everyone’s like omg how! Alec can’t fight for shit (NOT MY ALEC!!!) and hates clary. also Izzy isn’t a huge fan. yeah clary hates any girl who’s around jace. what a fucking clown. I’ll never understand why everyone thinks clace has a cute love story.

believe it or not but little girl comes from jace while in the show, Alec says it. you can never make me hate show Alec. the fist book in my opinion is a fucking torturefest. if you want to rage bait thyself, then go read TMI. the pov is so fucking tiring because it’s literally all of clary. it’s all “omg jace is so hot and bad and i love him” EW EW EW

Magnus and alec and Izzy are barely in the books; at least the first one. Alec apparently has never killed a demon (how does that make any fucking sense?) and clary kills a greater demon and basically says “yeah Alec you killed it” and take in that CC wanted to kill alec after the first book. Malec has maybe one small moment. not even 10 full pages of content. UGH

show: while clace are the focus, there is still a lot more Alec and Izzy and even Magnus moments. literally in 47 minutes, they have more screen time in the first episode than their book counterparts have in the first three books. even though clace is insufferable, we get to breathe and see the others. I hate all of the TMI characters like I genuinely don’t know how a 30+ year old was writing basically middle school cringe incest fanfic. GET YOUR ASS IN THERAPY!!! anyways, while the books make you want to throw the books out of the window, the show makes you stay because of alec, Izzy, Simon, and Magnus. thanks yall for making me endure this shit story!!! I stay for malec and always remember SHOW MALEC ONLY. I cannot be seen as a book fan 🗣️🗣️🗣️

Did you ever chime in the “Would Nikki have given Bear a chance if he just confessed” debate?

Not really because I don't think that matters. Like, to me, Bear making the wish itself isn't even really the issue because he didn't think it would work because why would he think it would work. The issue is how Bear acts in the relationship, when things clearly aren't right with Nikki. He doesn't care that her personality has changed. He doesn't care that she self-harms. He doesn't care that she's unhappy. He doesn't listen to Ian when he says that she needs help, when he says it looks like he's taking advantage of her. He doesn't even care that she isn't Nikki, he just asks her to act happy and act like her. So, who cares if the real Nikki would've given Bear a chance if he just confessed because clearly he doesn't respect or care about Nikki as a person and if they had been together without any supernatural interference, he's still the same guy who when he thought she was heaving a mental health crisis decided to "benefit" from it because it meant being with her rather than help her. Bear is a bad guy. That's the point.
