"I haven't done this since the Great War" I am pretty sure is meant to refer to the War in Heaven, right?

Well, the Polish translators didn't think so. What they know is that in English, there was a war which for a long while carried that moniker.

jfc, im reading polish edition of good omens and i HATE!! IT!! SO!! MUCH!! it's full of mistakes and im only 164 pages in and probably missed some

first of all, if the authors gave chapters names just leave them not change to chapter one, two etc.

also, making dialogues illegible

in the second photo, in original we have crowley saying "do you mean like-", in polish version we have aziraphale saying "i mean something like-" but it's still written like someone else is saying it

then we get some good old gay erasure 🤩

in polish "f*ggot" became "pervert "

also

"gayer" becoming "funny" and "sexless" becoming "asexual (or if you prefer, sexless)" like THAT IS NOT THE SAME THING!!!

(and why did they have to put numbers in here)

and last but not least

M*urzyn being the word polish black community speaks openly against (and this is not some old edition, the book was published in 2019)
