He offers her a very slight smile of his own, his blank eyes radiating a warmth that was indescribable yet utterly natural. As he is lowered & fingertips brush against a stray strand of gray hair across his forehead, Stranger can only chuckle softly and shake his head. “My hero. How easy life would be if one was dedicated only to the collection of rarities.” He sighs wishfully, jokingly.
Once shiny loafers touch the dirty ground, Stranger stoops to pick up his hat and replace it on his head. Appearances matter, you know.
And with gloved hands, he brushes dust and dirt off of his blue-cloaked chest. “I have hoped throughout the years that aging would mean that getting captured in a net would occur less.” A hand cups her cheek to tilt her head upward slightly, his gaze serious and sharp as if imparting serious wisdom -- and yet a smile melts his solemn expression. “I am always proven to be mistaken, Pamela. Thank you for assisting me.”
