this is fucking painful to watch
#maybe because you just watch the character processing his mortal anxiety mostly alone#but it wastes so much time w the weird nympho/baseball subplots#it should’ve stuck to the ​family processing their father’s passing/man processing his own death/grandkid lead morbid viking funeral#plus you really feel it when burt’s not on screen maybe i can’t be objective but there wasn’t a lot of there there for the other actors to#do much#so you're just waiting while the supporting characters say inconsequential shit until burt or the kids show up again#rocket gibraltar#1988#1980s#screencaps#burt lancaster#suzy amis#patricia clarkson
