Hi hello, so... in my head, the birth of Zhouzel happened around the time the boxing match does, and that's why it is successful ! Kelsey does win the boxing match and the trio make it into the lab, but Tony wasn't present, unable to escape the hospital.
To appease Mother and find another candidate as soon as possible, the Bisons decide to take siege of the town earlier than planned, while Kelsey, Trudy, and Francis have no clue, going through the trials and everything of the lab. They spot the painting of Zhouzel, and Kelsey, like in canon, accepts Zhouzel's offer.
The Bisons manage to capture a lot of people, including Tony, Tyrus, and Shane. Tony starts chaos by trying to escape, and both Tyrus and Shane help him out, but while Tyrus and Tony are successful, Shane is not, his recent injury slowing him down. Shane manages to defeat a few Bisons, but it isn't enough, and with that he meets the requirements for Zhouzel's vessel.
Kelsey, Trudy, and Francis learn of this chaos as they walk around the laboratory from Arlo, and they manage to reach Mother's room a bit after the Bisons do with Shane restrained in a wheelchair. At this pivotal moment when the trio needed to act now or never, Kelsey is suddenly spoken to by Zhouzel and commanded to betray the team and be by his side during his birth. Kelsey, compelled, accepts, and tricks Trudy and Francis by going through the door first and closing it behind her.
When Zhouzel is born, due to a younger body being used as a vessel, Zhouzel only kills his followers, the Bisons, as source of energy and a few other civilians, instead of all of Peachyville. Once he is fully born, he approaches Kelsey and promises her knowledge beyond her imagination and the High Priestess position of his rule, with the sole condition that she make the world revere him. Kelsey accepts.
Once the door opens, Trudy and Francis are hit with Kelsey's betrayal and managed to escape before any confrontation occurs. Outside the lab, they find Tony and Tyrus, and they share Kelsey's betrayal with Tony, who proposes turning their bowling team into a Rebellion team as a form of not just vengeance towards Kelsey, but also as a way to protect Peachyville. Trudy and Francis accept, and so, the differing teams are created and the Zhouzel Dimension/Universe is born.
Timeskip to months later, but before Zhouzel kills Kelsey...
Time to go a little more in-depth on all the characters: where they are within the designs I made and any details not visible in the lineup I posted above
(and in alphabetical order because I like doing things in alphabetical order)
Blake joined the Rebellion Team hours after it was formed. BB had informed the team that she knew someone who had a buffed up basement they could use as headquarters, and that’s how they met Blake, who accepted to help them thanks to his love of Peachyville.
Amberster was, unfortunately, one of the few civilian casualties of Zhouzel’s birth so Blake also appreciated having some company.
Marbles came into the picture a week later, while Blake and Trudy were out on a solo mission to find food. There, Blake spotted Marbles sleeping by an open sewage hole and gently went to pick him up. Almost as if he knew him, Marbles jumped into Blake’s arms and blinked his heterochromatic green-red eyes at him slowly. From then on, the two became inseparable.
Blake now mainly stays at the base, caring for BB, Milton and, if given permission, Timmy alongside Tyrus. However, he is more than happy to tag along on missions, and even insists on it whenever BB wants to tag along.
The moment BB knew her life wouldn’t be the same, was the moment she stumbled on the Anderson Ice Company. She managed to reach Milton, but she wasn’t quick enough and the Anderson’s caught her. Although, had it not been for Ma Anderson’s body being found lying lifeless on her chair as dry as a raisin, the Anderson brothers would have probably left her off the hook. And so, BB lost an eye, a move made in a blinded rage by the Anderson brothers.
This didn’t dissuade BB, as she took the opportunity to grab Milton and run out of the Anderson Ice Company when the Anderson brothers left to freeze her eye like they did Milton’s.
BB ran back to the boxing match location with Milton, where she managed to catch The Guttural Scream, minus Kelsey, as they were leaving to head to town.
BB is a dimmer version of herself now, not as bubbly as before, especially after learning about her favorite teacher’s betrayal. She still likes to be helpful by sneaking around and finding information on the High Priestess and her followers, but is mainly encouraged to stay at the base with Milton, Blake, Marbles, and Tyrus, which she obliges because she’s just a 12-year-old girl… what can she do?
Francis, after Kelsey’s betrayal and the death of his parents, found that the only solution was to grow up… and so he did. He disguised his fear and insecurity with confidence and maturity by taking the role of Mission Planner. Although the first mission left both he and Trudy harmed, though to his credit how could he have known the Store Clerk had a flamethrower just sitting around in his back office, all missions afterward felt like a breeze thanks to his meticulous planning.
As much as he wishes to deny it, he does tend to cling to Trudy a lot, seeing a mother-figure in her that he silently feels he lacks. Likewise, he hates himself for still caring for Kelsey, even after what she did, believing in a locked up space in his mind that maybe, someday, they could bring her back to her old self.
After being saved by BB from the Anderson Ice Company and meeting up with The Guttural Scream, Milton was already at a low point with the fact his eyesight is gone and the last thing he saw was how it was taken away. He also isn’t very happy about BB getting hurt while saving him, although BB refuses to tell him how it was that she got hurt, exactly. But, hearing the news about Kelsey’s betrayal? That broke him. The one person he sought safety from… is the same one that doomed them all? No wonder the notebook didn’t mention her name, she was the one responsible for the deaths of many.
With no other choice, Milton accepted BB’s offer to be a part of the Rebellion Team, although he never planned to do anything for them, and the team didn’t plan on giving him anything to do either, both out of disinterest and for his own good.
Milton is quiet, only holding conversations with BB and Blake, and on occasions Tyrus, and speaking only when necessary outside of that. Unlike the founding members, Milton has lost all hope of the Kelsey he knew coming back and is even relieved he lost his sight before he could see the person she became.
Deep Slumber Cause: Modified Dollmaker Venom - Tucker Trout
Closest to: Trudy
-
During the chaos at the lab, Timmy was home sleeping. Tucker heard the news of the failed boxing match and destroyed the Trudy head he was tinkering with to release his anger. An hour later, he got a call that they managed to collect possible candidates and Zhouzel’s birth was inevitable… Tucker, instead of heading to the lab, decided to enact a personal plan of his earlier than anticipated, but at least he had prepared for it in advance. He prepped the robotic body he made in the image of his son, Timmy, and the syringe with the modified Dollmaker venom, a tasked that took him 2 hours to get just right, and headed up the stairs to the boy’s room.
Timmy, deep in slumber, didn’t hear his bedroom door open, nor the sounds of his father’s footsteps as they cautiously approached his bed, but the prick of the needle to his neck was unmistakable. Timmy’s eyes opened almost on impact, but his father was stronger and holding him down as he finished injecting the modified venom into his body.
The first thing Trudy did, after forming the Rebellion Team, was go home and find her son. When she got there, she found him laying on top of the dry corpse of his father, sound asleep. No matter what she or the rest of the team did, Timmy would simply not wake up, and it wasn’t until Francis, who had decided to investigate the house alongside Tony and BB, found Tucker’s notes on his plan for Timmy, did they found out the cause of his slumber.
Now Timmy lays in a bed, in a private room in the Rebellion’s base, in comfortable pajamas and routine visits from Trudy and, occasionally, Blake or Tyrus protected until they can find a cure.
When the effects of the tranquilizer given to him by Dr. Mann in the hospital passed, Tony awoke sitting in a wheelchair surrounded by men in Bison masks. He wasn’t tied up, the Bisons believing he was too loopy to do anything, so he took the chance to sweep a look around the room, spotting Tyrus and Shane as two familiar faces tied up nearby. Suddenly, his face was grabbed by one of the Bisons and, with no warning, his eye was scratched out of its socket with a knife.
This sudden flash of pain fully woke Tony up, leading to him acting quickly despite his broken legs and starting his escape. He used his wheelchair to knock a few Bisons over and managed to get a hold of the knife that took his eye and used it to free both Tyrus and Shane. The three managed to make a path of escape between the Bisons, but Shane wasn’t quick enough with his missing leg and was caught. Tony and Tyrus, however, failed to notice, running on adrenaline with the goal of escaping the lab fogging any other thought.
After meeting up with Trudy and Francis, learning of Kelsey’s betrayal, and forming the Rebellion Team, Tony was able to recover from his broken legs thanks to being forced to rest by the team and his casts being just the right size.
Now he tags along on all the missions and tries to redeem his lack of service on WWII with his service to finding a way to save Peachyville from the reign of the High Priestess, a friend he has accepted is now lost, as much as it pains him to do so.
Timmy’s seemingly eternal slumber, compounded by Kelsey’s betrayal has left Trudy utterly sore. Most days she is tired beyond belief, and on the days when she feels like she can’t even bring herself to move, she sits with Timmy and never leaves his side, humming to him melodies or telling him about the latest mission.
In one such mission, the team felt brave enough to approach the cathedral that was built in the center of Peachyville where the High Priestess resides. The main goal was just to scout the location and learn more about how the High Priestess spread Zhouzelism. The mission was successful, aside from Blake’s eye getting close to pummeled by a Guard and Marbles attacking the High Priestess in retaliation, and in their leave, Trudy found a bracelet she remembered belonging to Kelsey. When she picked it up, she noticed the charms were different from before, something she knew thanks to Kelsey sharing with her the meaning of the charms that went on her bracelet back when they were just a bowling team. The charms now were an eye, a compass, a peach, a bison, a lock, an hourglass, and a skull. Trudy decided to keep the bracelet, both because of its sentimental value and to decipher what she believes to be a code from Kelsey.
Now Trudy is still trying to decipher the code, taking the time to do it and talk it over whenever she is in one of her down days sitting in Timmy’s room. She knows she shouldn’t, but Trudy still holds out hope that the Kelsey she once knew is still in there within the High Priestess, and the only way to stop Zhouzel is by bringing her back.
Tyrus was closing up his restaurant when the Bisons arrived in a white van and took him hostage. The ropes tied around his wrists and ankles were so tight, the rope burns refuse to fade. The whole thing is a blur, one moment he is in a moving van, the next he is in a room full of people, suddenly he can hear Tony scream and a commotion begins, then he is running out of that chaotic room pushing Tony’s wheelchair looking desperately for an exit.
It isn’t until they arrive at Blake’s basement does everything finally hit him.
For safety, he decides to stick with the Rebellion Team, and convinces them further by showing his medical skills by taking care of everyone’s wounds, starting with the kids. He also cooks for everyone, using the cookware and utensils available in Blake’s mansion and the ones recovered from his restaurant. Although he lost his apron, the team had found a long sash/scarf that he uses instead, although finding a way to tie it at first was a two-person tasked which was achieved with Trudy’s help.
Now Tyrus mainly stays at the base, taking care of Milton, BB and, occasionally with Trudy’s permission, Timmy alongside Blake. He is very grateful with Tony for saving him, so he always gives him an almost imperceptible biased treatment (emphasis on almost, he isn’t caught only because everyone else is so caught up in their own matters).
Zhouzel’s coercion was strong. Stronger than her own mind, her own morals, her own values. She felt no control of herself when she pushed her friends aside and locked those doors. Any other person would be left terrified at this, but Kelsey was not, could not, for witnessing the birth of Zhouzel drover her mad. What else could she do but accept Zhouzel’s offer of knowledge and power when all she could think about was the magnificence of this otherworldly deity?
Praising Zhouzel was easy, getting followers was not. The High Priestess found that the most effective way of converting people to Zhouzelism was with simply showing them the deity himself, although she mainly did it through paintings and descriptions for his visage was for her and Mother alone. Zhouzel did as promised, he gave the High Priestess knowledge beyond her imagination and in turn she loved him as a lover, a brother, a father, each and every way she could.
She only learned about the Rebellion the day they decided to show their faces to her, and imprint her with a scarred eye that she’d never forget. The High Priestess framed these traitors as criminals to all the Zhouzelism followers and encouraged their arrest in exchange for favor with Zhouzel.
Now, she continues to rule, and continues trying to convert the world into Zhouzelism. But the High Priestess cries in the solitary confines of her room as Kelsey returns in the dead of night, wishing for a way out, may it be by death or the guiding light of her old bowling team… maybe if she hadn’t lost her bracelet, she’d be able to return sooner rather than later.
The End... for this post, not this whole AU(?) thing
expect more doodles, but especially comics... i have some ideas brewing in my head, but i need to find the time to draw them... aaah I hate being busy
anyway, hope this was entertaining, interesting, or something of the like, and if not... sorry
okay bye it's 2 am weeee
(PS. I hope I explained clearly how I think Kelsey's mind works and why she is so pro Zhouzel in this dimension, but in case I didn't, I might make a comic where I try to explain it better or maybe an animatic idk, we'll see)
