Yami no Yugi is a combination of Zorc and Atem, which is why he starts out a bit more violent than the past version of Atem that we see before. All of Atem's soul was in the Puzzle, so it's like 100% of Atem's soul + 14% of Zorc's. Luckily, he also has Yugi's influence and then interactions with the rest of the gang to temper those feelings and bring him more in line with his past life self. He's not quite Atem anymore, but he's not very much of Zorc either.

Yami no Marik is also about 14% Zorc, but remaining is all Marik's mental distress. I headcanon that Marik has DID, and just one of his alters happened to get mixed up with Zorc's influence and become a lot more murdery because of it. There's probably also threads of previous Millennium Rod bearers that got tangled up with that fragment of Zorc's soul as well, so there's not just Zorc's appetite for destruction or Marik's own mental fragility, but also the pain and suffering of generations of Tomb Keepers all mixed up in it as well into this conglomerate entity that's mostly made up of hate and revenge.

The other Millennium Bearers manage to avoid getting too much Zorc for other reasons, mostly because they were older when they took on the items and had more of their identity solidified that Zorc couldn't get a big foothold in them, so they show some signs of that murderous intent, but not enough to completely develop a Yami persona.

In Ishizu's case, the foresight that the Tauk gave her helped her to manage the pieces of Zorc that came with the item because she was mentally prepared for it, and she was older when she took it on so she had developed mental fortitude.

Shadi can take on two items without going completely crazy because his sect of the Tomb Keepers are more aware of the entity in the Millennium Items and he probably trained for years to develop the mental walls necessary to wield the items - which probably contributes to why he is a lot more emotionless than other characters and can seem cold, especially towards taking lives. He might not be as dangerous as other pieces of Zorc, but it comes with its own mental scars as well.

And then Pegasus, again, a little older and more secure in his identity, but also he's the first one to reference the "evil intelligence," so it's likely he's felt some of those dangerous, murderous and destructive impulses since he got the Eye - which combined with his grief and his desperation to see his wife again somehow, leads him to becoming a pretty ruthless person.

And finally, Yami no Bakura. Bakura is almost certainly a combination of Thief King Bakura and Zorc, and I think a lot more of Zorc coalesced in him over time because Zorc and TKB were so closely associated even before Zorc was fragmented and destroyed, so Yami no Bakura is definitely the Most Zorc of any of the Millennium Item bearers. He's not fully Zorc because he's also Thief King Bakura and just a little bit of Ryo mixed in from their interactions over time, and because we see that Bakura himself is not always exactly sure of what he needs to be doing to achieve his goals. His memories are fragmented and mixed up, just like Atem's.

TL;DR, the so-called "evil intelligence" of the Millennium Items is mostly Zorc+the anger of the people who were made into the Items that he controls and wields, sealed inside them and split across them, influencing the Items' bearers over time.

2. Favorite canon thing about this character

Jack: the fine line between him just being a silly lil guy and him being full-on sinister, and how fast he switches between the two! It's a good, fun vibe! Also let's be real, im a simple man. i see Brad Dourif with terrible long hair and a trench coat, i can't not love him

Yutani: Him, Raimi and Weyland share one braincell. Their dynamic is fun, especially the one he has with Weyland where it seems like they just like bothering each other? In the end, they're all still 3 well-intentioned dorks with a kinda bad plan. Also him being huge weeb is never not funny.

6. What's something you have in common with this character?

Jack: my go-to answer to this one used to be The Aesthetic bc for a bunch of years my Jack Dante outfit was just part of my regular wardrobe. Not so much these days, but hey i got the little logo as a tattoo, so i think that still counts :p Also a love of cartoons!

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

Jack: The CHAANK person he knows the most and dealt with the most often is John! John is just as scared of him as anyone else, but more or less knew how to handle him for the most part? That sure doesn't mean Jack /liked/ him though, obviously, and all of that flies out the window immediately once John feels like he isn't in control of the situation. 22. If you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to this character? Something you don't like?

Jack: i just like thinking about his dynamics with the other CHAANK people, really! Which is funny because i don't think that's something i actually ever wrote much? But if we're talking pre-movie setup, i do think his dynamics with John, Scott and Nicholson are stuff that's super interesting. Sad lil kid!Dante is something i used to ponder A Lot that just doesn't click with me as much these days? And big props to all the people writing reader/Dante fics, im amused that it exists in the first place, but ngl there's nothing i want less than to be involved if im reading something asdfkg

After no one believes Eric that Buddy is gay, he kinda forgots to tell him about it and he keeps hainging with them without knowing the small detail. The first times he comments on how hot Robert Redford is and how he wouldn’t date whoever is on TV, the boys give him weird looks but ignore it. It becomes a Thing(tm) that he and Fez are constantly saying gay shit and everyone thinks they are straight anyway.

It wasn’t until Donna, thinking about what Eric told them, finally approaches him with everyone at the Hub and asks. “Ah, yeah. Didn’t Eric told you, guys?”, cut to everyone’s “OH” faces. No one cares, though.

Kelso keeps bothering Buddy about if he finds him attractive and every time, Buddy answers with the same: “I told you, you aren’t my type”, five seconds later he turns around to tell the others minus Jackie, “And Jackie is blind as hell, also”. Hyde likes this guy.

When he found out about Laurie and Kelso, he wondered why nobody was going to tell Jackie and voiced this to Eric. He wasn’t as close to them yet, but always thought it was shitty no one opened their mouths. He feels guilty, too, since he didn’t say a word either.

His crush on Eric is gone with the wind when he starts seeing the kind of boyfriend he is to Donna and how he takes her for granted most times. He always takes Donna’s side when asked about the things, Eric constantly wonders if he does it as a way to try and hide he likes him. Hyde, Fez and Jackie roll their eyes at this all the time.

Jackie loves spending time with him. Both are rich and popular, and both love their basement friends. Eric thinks it’s weird Buddy likes spending time with Jackie so much and constantly makes asshole remarks about it that are always answered with sass from Buddy.

They go shopping every 15th of the month and he is always telling her to dump Kelso becuse he is dumb as shit and doesn’t deserve him. For time like this, Jackie is grateful she gets Donna to accompany them shopping because otherwise, she may fight Buddy.

Fez had a crush on Buddy at some point, it helped him came to terms with the fact that he is NOT straight.

Of course, like the good parents they are, Red and Kitty would just know about Buddy’s sexual orentation. They would talk about it between them, maybe mention it to Eric and Hyde, who are going to play dumb in case they get all wrong or something, but nah. After knowing the kid, both agree he’s a good boy and he’s always welcome in the Formans’.

When Jackie gets infatuated with Hyde, Buddy tried to talk her out of it with Donna.

And when Donna and Eric break up, he sort of understands Eric’s position but still takes Donna’s side once Eric starts acting odd in her presence like wanting to punish her for not being ready for the kind of relationship he wants.

During this time, he and Eric fight about it and Buddy feels offended about the fact that Eric kinda acts like if he belongs to him or something. Is also during this time when he gets a key to the basement, yet he doesn’t accept it when Jackie tells him they have never wanted to give her one.

It gets old for the rest of the boys that Buddy is mostly taking the girls’ side all the time. It turns out, his parents are divorced and his mother is the rich one. He was also rised with three older sisters, so he feels like if he can understand the girls just a little bit better.

He can kick ass. Literally. He is strong enough to face Hyde and Donna. It gets them by surprise, and so no one ever calls him “part of the girls” of their group of friends after seeing Kelso’s black eye.

One day, Fez tells him he used to like him and Buddy wants to kill him because he used to like him, too. But now, both have couples and well, there’s unspoken things.

Sort of don’t like Kelso but eventually comes to terms with it.

Hates dancing, he stays with Hyde every time they go to a party with dacing or something.

Originally, Jackie asked him to take her to prom, but he had already promised a cheerleader to help her out since she had just started a relationship with another girl that was going with her cousin as an alibi.

Would kill a man for pizza.

Constantly buys shit for his friends, constantly ignores Kelso when it comes to gifts because, “you are already taking Jackie’s money, ge tover it”. Everyone suspects he may not like Kelso.

When asked why he doesn’t like Kelso, he always says something like, “Oh, I like him just fine. Like I like coffee.” “Er, you don’t like coffee...” “Exactly, Eric.”

Buddy not liking Kelso becomes a constant joke.

He doesn’t like Kelso because he always thought Fez liked him and he always hated the way Kelso treated Jackie and Donna in general. And because he hit on his sister, slept with her and ignored her after. He tried not to mention it but it came out one day.

Now obviously this is going to involve some spoilers to explain, so now that I have given you a fair warning please read at your own peril:

How do you think his parents met? I mean, what kind of woman do you think a successful supervillain would have settled down with, anyway? Remember that they were married, not just dating.

Gru canonically becomes a supervillain because of her. Whether he did so to emulate or to spite her is another story, but having not known about his father it’s unlikely that he chose that route for his father’s sake.

And before you argue that one, let me point out that I distinctly remember Gru talking to her on the phone in the first movie, saying something like “I’m planning something very big, and you’re going to be proud of me!” He’s talking about the moon heist. If she didn’t know he was a villain, and that he was responsible for the heist, then she would have no reason to be proud of him for it. Conclusion? She not only knows Gru is a villain, but Gru has some reason for believing that evil deeds will make her proud.

She’s freaking rich. In DM3, Gru visits her house. It’s huge. It has a big swimming pool. And she’s hired swim instructors for more or less the sole purpose of being her eye candy. I doubt retirement homes are that nice, and I sincerely doubt she got all that money from Gru. Remember that the first movie deals with Gru’s bank problems... He hasn’t had money in a long time by this point, and he’s certainly not paying her now. Honestly, she’d probably take his money if he offered, but I imagine it’d be more to teach him a lesson than anything. I don’t think she’d be happy about it. Now where did she get all this wealth, I wonder?

(Well, I suppose it’s possible that she inherited it from Gru’s dad when they divorced, but I would think a villain would be smarter than to allow something like that to happen.)

It would explain why she’s never proud. Sure, he built a functional rocket... but she’s probably built her own missiles and whatnot before. Big deal. The only thing special about it is the fact that he did it at such a young age... and she probably attributes that to her own genes.

She’s cruel. I mean, evil cruel. I imagine she sees a lot of Gru’s dad in him and it angers her, which could be one reason why she’s so unsupportive.

...Which could be why she shows pride only AFTER he finds something else to do with his life besides villainy. Maybe she was upset that he followed in his parents’ footsteps?

You know who her attitude reminds me of? Vector’s dad. You know, Mr. Perkins, at the bank? The guy who smiles at his son’s picture when no one is looking, then proceeds to yell at his son in person like one minute later? Yeah. That guy. They both kind of have that “I love you but I can’t tell you I love you or this world is going to chew you up and spit you out” vibe. Also a “You should really just leave it to me to set your life up for you otherwise you’re going to muck it up and get yourself hurt you don’t know what’s best for you” vibe.
