"I appreciate very much that I got to know Dead during the time he spent in Norway. He was indeed a strange personality. Posterior to his death, all kinds of myths have been made about him; he was really the personification of an evil madman, according to many.
Well then, let myths be myths and let's focus rather on the reality as it appeared in broad daylight - Dead was a nice man and Dead was a good man (a description many may find "blasphemous", but it still doesn't hide the fact that Dead was a good man).
He had his own little view of life, constituted by Transylvania, vultures, bats, grim trees (he often went into the woods to paint "grim trees"), graves and non-synthesized Black metal. In despite of his obsessions, he was harmless, he would leave others alone and wanted to be left alone." - Bård Guldvik Eithun (darkwhispers.co.uk) 🦇

Djevel - Natt til ende
Black Metal from Oslo, Norway
The final installment of a trilogy, “Natt Til Ende” is the manifesto of the ultimate end of Christianity and the death of “Jesus”. It is about the idea and concept of forces that Christianity refers to as “evil”... the same forces that the band, over the course of the album, refers to as natural and human. It explores the repulsive notion that “God” lives on through man and shows how these ideals should come to an end. In the case of Djevel, the end of all false hopes and “light” is achieved through seven tracks of unadulterated black metal.
1. Bespottelsen 05:33 2. En vinter efter kommer 07:28 3. Ravnehymne 03:42 4. Jesu lidelse 06:26 5. Under nattens fane i fandens prakt 05:00 6. I skovaandsfavn 03:18 7. Natt til ende 14:26
