#diyTuesday a project I did around two weeks ago now. The storage container was the perfect size. However, there was a catch. It had no lid. Told my daughter to go right ahead and purchase it. I will find a way to make a cover. True enough, there are tons of videos on YT. Found one that looked easy enough and got the colored poster boards we had at home. I made two covers and now, they're up on the shelf!

#DIYTuesday after refurbishing the wire rack from last weekend, I left it to dry for at least 24hours before putting it in place in our extended room area.

It will be filled in after another day in its place. I love to take things slow now, so I could plan out the arrangement of lots more stuff that still spark joy in me. In addition, I was able to install some wall brackets, pending more wall brackets & shelves for my own open closet. I hope to accomplish much in the weeks & months to come.

#DIYTuesday another one of those “before” & “after” photos. That’s our wire rack storage. We decided to keep it but give it a new look. Some of the former items on it were already put in “to donate” boxes. Others will need to be re-evaluated whether they would be kept, donated, or discarded for good. 

I googled for some instructions on how to refurbish. I soaped & scrubbed it. I even scraped it & used sand paper to prepare it for primer & paint. There’s primer & paint bought from Ace Hardware. I let it dry for over 24 hours. Will definitely post updates on what happens next.

#DIYTuesday one of the next tasks I did was put up the shelves. The first photo was the first attempt. However, the wooden wall wasn't strong enough to hold my bookshelf. It stayed up for a week, then I had to relocate it to the next wall. Let's say I had to re-draw the layout of my work area. The postcard boxes are on their shelf. Seems I was able to attach it to a beam so it holds better. Indeed, I'm learning much along the way. Redecorating & refurbishing our room is taking time. I'd rather move slowly but surely, so I'm making sure each area will be done well. I just know it will soon be completely done!

#DIYTuesday thankful for wallpapers to somehow revive the "feels" of an old room. My bebe & I did this project together. 'Twas my first time putting up a wallpaper so it wasn't that perfect. But I can live with it knowing it's DIY. #2019goals

#DIYTuesday once again. Just over a week ago, I installed a new retractable clothesline out back. I ordered it from Shopee. It was okay, but some of the lines need to be calibrated. They're a bit too loose & need to be tightened.

My #2019goal of refurbishing is going too slowly, but at least it's moving. I'm trying to seek balance between overworking myself during my one & only day off from work -- Sunday -- & catching up on stuff I want to do for myself, like reading & resting. >.<
