Divinity statue inside a sacred forest on Bali, Indonesia.
old art i did of dante and the divinity statue figure !!
what if she was actually sentient n every time dante offered her le demon blood she breaks from her frozen state and trains him face-to-face, acting as a mentor in a way?
a bit silly but yknow what if
So this is my headcanon fanart of the Divinity Statue. Yes, THAT Divinity Statue from the Devil May Cry series. She’s on the reboot DmC: Devil May Cry world though. She’s alive and actually has a pissy personality. You’ll love her!
I also posted her here in my Deviantart

Watcher of Time
about your last post, how do you think the goddess of time and space fit in Fortuna religion narrative ? (it looks like she's still get worshipped since you can found statues around cities)
I’d never actually considered the Divinity Statue’s roll in the DMC universe outside of giving upgrades, so this is an interesting one for me.
So the first game refers to her as “The Watcher of Time”, and she is described as a god of time and space, but also acts as a teacher in ‘ancient ways’, specifically for those who have managed to kill a demon.
Consider this:
The story goes that when God created the world, he created it to be eternal. Nothing aged, nothing withered, and nothing died. Demons began to meddle in the affairs of the human world, and they created the concept of Time. Time is something that works differently between the world, and that affects humans and demons differently with its passing, as Time was made to torment the humans; with Time, the humans would know the pain of aging and of loss, but Time also gave rise to the creation of new things, and the humans learned and developed and changed as they continued to live out their short lives.
The Goddess portrayed in the Divinity Statues was charged with overseeing the passage of Time. She sees all that has happened, and she remembers all that she has seen. When Mundus took over the Human World, she realised how boring watching Time pass would be without humanity. The humans were curious creatures that were always advancing their ways, whereas the demon world had hardly changed in millennia. Plus, they were just fascinating to watch; despite being weak of body, the humans had strength of heart and the will to take on anything and everything that the changes of Time had to challenge them with.
When Sparda rose up against Mundus, she was one of few demons who supported him, teaching the humans ancient skills to combat their foes, because although the humans had forgotten them throughout the generations, she still remembered. This is why her effigy takes payment of the blood and souls of slain demons in exchange for knowledge in the art of war.
The modern Order of the Sword looks to her as a watchful eye that oversees the citizens of Fortuna, and for guidance in their continued battle against the Demons, and that is why her statue appears throughout the city.
pick a god and prey
Better pics of the Idol of Space and Time I wore for MAGFest! Work kicked my ass, so the mask and bustier (from DMC4) are put off ‘til Katsucon, but I think I did a good improvisation of the DMC3 one! (Er...minus the titty-slip...)
The real star here, though, is the hourglass! It stands at 52 inches end to end (compared to my 60 inches), and splits into two pieces for ease of transport (I...do not). The sixteen 3-inch resin spikes bolted into the wreath make it around 20 inches wide. Each end is wired with 3+ meters of remote-controlled mini-LEDs for that extra punch. Even with all that, it’s still only around 10 pounds! (The messenger bag I carry with me all the time actually weighs more when it’s loaded.) That’s wonder of pine, posterboard, and fabric! I still might fancy it up even more for the DMC4 look at Katsucon.
Special thanks to @lithefider for the pictures and the gentle photoshoping and @snazzyskeleton for all the help with the last-minute body-painting when I was in too much pain to contort to the right angles!
