While I am still learning ways to be more eco friendly, one simple switch I did make- is ditching the plastic straw for a reusable option. Plastic is one of the biggest threats our environment faces. It is estimated that Americans use more than 500 million drinking straws a day! Many of these straws end up in our landfills or even worse- our oceans. They harm our wild life and release harmful chemicals into our atmosphere. Ditching plastic straws and replacing them with an alternative, like reusable silicone straws, is a simple way we can help keep our planet safe.
