Bringing Misty Home
[Dylan]
Dylan had heard the screaming and yelling and it didn’t take a rocket scientist to know what had happened. He took out some cotton balls and shoved them up his nose before getting out of the car and heading to the entrance where Misty was. “I will take you to the safe house and make sure no one bothers you there. I already shoved shit up my nose so just get into the car please. It’s the withdrawal, not Nibs, just remember that.”
[Misty]
Misty walked out of the room and could see the look of pity in some of their eyes and she silently moved back to the entrance. She stopped as someone grabbed her arm and tried pulling away. “Please let go.” She begged softly before hearing Dylan. “Just leave me alone. Let go of me.” She begged as she snatched her arm from him and walked past Dylan. She wiped her tears away as she walked as fast away as possible.
[Dylan]
Dylan stopped her once more before pulling her closer to him in a hug not letting her go. “I am sorry I caused this. I should have controlled myself and I am genuinely sorry. Just let me at least get you somewhere safe and then I will leave okay? I already know I am probably on borrowed time so it would be horrible to say no.” He teases trying to lighten up the mood.
[Misty]
“Please get off of me.” She said trying to push Dylan away before she just broke down in his arms. “I’m so sorry. I’m just so sorry.” She kept saying as her eyes flashed bright blue.
[Dylan]
Dylan just held her as she broke down in his arms. “It’s not your fault Misty. You didn’t know.” He tells her as he runs his hand through her hair soothingly. “Come on, let’s get away from the prying eyes. This isn’t their business.” The male just picks her up and carries her to the car before putting her inside. Going around to the driver seat, he gets in and offers her the box of tissues before plugging the location of the safe house into the gps.
[Misty]
Misty felt Dylan picking her up and sat in the car. She looked out the window as she heard Dylan getting in on the other side. She didn’t look at him as she wiped her tears away with her hand. She shifted uncomfortably as she continued ignoring her heat.
[Dylan]
He pulled a pill bottle out for her. “Here, this will help manage the heat effects. It mutes the urges for a few hours. Sam used to use them when we had important things we needed to do. All the ingredients are on the side and no they aren’t addictive.” He tells her before offering her the bottle. “There is water on the side of the door too.”
[Misty]
“I deserve to be in pain Dylan. Just please drive.” She said quietly as she ignored the bottle he was handing her. She moved to put her hair up as she continued looking out of the window.
[Dylan]
“Now why would you say that? You did what you thought was best for him. He is just overwhelmed with the effects of the heat and the withdrawal all at once. You don’t deserve to be in pain, you never do.” He tells her before starting up the car and starting to drive.
[Misty]
Tears stung her eyes as she shook her head. “He hates me Dylan. You should have heard how he talked about me…about you and me. Please just…stop.” She begged as she looked at him. “I just want to go home.”
[Dylan]
“He is just angry. He doesn’t hate you Misty, this is Nibs we are talking about he could never hate you. If he hated you then you would both be dying right now and you know I wouldn’t let that happen.” He tells her as he continues to drive.
[Misty]
“I think it’s not up to you.” She said as she looked away from him and wiped her tears away. She groaned as she shifted in her seat and grabbed her bag to put it on her lap.
[Dylan]
“You would be surprised, Misty.” He tells her. “I think you just need to give him a few days to calm down. I made sure all the creeps were away from your house. I also charmed it so that your heat scent will be neutralized so they won’t bother you.”
[Misty]
“I think you should just let it go Dylan, I am not a good person. I cheated on the one person who truly loved me. So please just stop.” She told him before listening to his words. “It doesn’t matter. None of it matters.” She said to herself.
[Dylan]
“It’s called a mistake, Misty. They happen. I have fucked up more than you have believe me.” He sighed before pulling into her driveway and parking the car.
[Misty]
“According to Nibs, all I do is make mistakes with you.” She said softly before seeing the house. “Thank you.” She said before getting out of the car and heading towards the front door.
[Dylan]
Dylan sighed before running his fingers through his hair. “Take care Misty. If you need me I can just send Sophie if you don’t want to see me.” He tells her.
[Misty]
“I’ll be fine, thank you.” She looked at him before waving and heading inside the house.
[Dylan]
He waited until she went inside before driving back home.
