#dissertation woes

my advisor lucky hes not within strangling distance

so apparently there’s an actual word for ‘fear of teenagers’ (ephebiphobia) and honestly i feel like mcr missed an opportunity to teach us all something via song title

the problem is that every day i'm writing, i'm staring down a new rabbit hole and thinking 'it's 10pm and i have to get up at 6 to teach i cannot possibly do this tonight'

when my dissertation is done will i be able to read epic poetry for funsies or what

you know that thing when you’re trying to write an analytical paper (cough cough dissertation) and you read an article that inspires your next draft? yeah i slowly worked my way through like 125 pages of scholarship the past couple days and i think i’m ready to frame my chapter 3 so that’s exciting

I finally got my grade for my MA dissertation back and I did really well I’m super excited but also shocked. I honestly didn’t think I’d do as well as I did. I thought for sure that at best I’d score a full 4 points lower than I actually managed to score!! I’m so relieved
