Disneyland with a toddler? I must be crazy! Hereâs my tips & tricks to make life a little easier.
Itâs that time of year again! Orions birthday! Every year we take Orion to Disneyland and I always get so much crap. He wonât remember it.. how do you deal with the crowds, isnât it already chaotic with a screaming baby? Yup. Along the way I have found things that made my life a million times easier!
â˘Go to fantasy land first thing in the morning. This is when lines are the shortest and your little one can ride everything here.
â˘The baby center! This is located at the end of main street by the corn dog stand. They have large, cushioned changing tables, toddler sized toilets, private rooms for pumping/breastfeeding, a microwave, and a sink.
â˘Always bring an extra pair of clothes. Accidents do happen.
â˘Mark your stroller with something bright! A string, or streamer. It helps make searching for your stroller easier.
â˘Bring a reusable water bottle. You can get water and ice for free!
â˘When lunch/dinner time come along, leave the park and go to Dennyâs or IHOP! Itâs ALOT cheaper and LESS crowded. Thatâs always a plus.
â˘Sit infront If Itâs A Small World for the fireworks. They have a projection on the ride and itâs not as crowded as infront of the castle.
â˘BRING AN UMBRELLA. Children tend to get fussy if in the sun for long. We use an umbrella for the lines. Not all rides have shade.
â˘I cannot emphasize this enough. Bring snacks!!! Disneyland allows you to bring in food. Snacks are always a life saver while waiting in line.
â˘If your little one is adventurous, make sure to take them to Tom sawyers Island. Itâs a good place for them to run around.
â˘Watch the parades! It gets you off of your feet for a little. If youâre not a parade person, use this time to ride the big rides.
â˘You cannot use a lock to lock your stroller on something to prevent it from getting stolen. However, you can use a bike lock to lock the wheels together. I reccomend doing this if you are worried about theft.
â˘Take advantage of the Parent Swap Pass. This allows families to take turns riding the big rides if someone has to stay back and watch the children.
â˘If youâre going for a special occasion, go to the little stores right infront of the entrance, they have buttons that are FREE.
I hope this helps a little. I always stress when going to Disneyland. I always encourage momâs to take their little ones who are young. Yes itâs crazy, but itâs also fun.
â˘TAKE YOUR TIME. If you try to rush, youâre going to stress. Take lots of pictures and make memories.
