Okay so I’m planning a Disney/Universal trip for a small group of my friends. I’m thinking 3 days at Disney (park hopper), 2 at Universal. I pretty much have the ticket deals covered to get the best value, but I’m not as sure about hotels. One of the girls is living in Gainesville (2hr drive to Orlando) so it doesn’t make sense to stay with her because we want to be at the parks as much as possible. But she can’t be there every day for car access.... so basically I’m trying to decide if it’s a better deal to stay at a Disney hotel (do a ticket-hotel package) for the free Disney park transportation, get a rental car and stay at a non Disney hotel (can get slightly cheaper park tickets, hotel around the same price/maybe slightly lower, but have to pay each day for Disney parking), or use Uber/Lyft/my friend’s car when she is available and stay at a non-Disney hotel that may have transport to magic kingdom........ I’ve never been a Disney hotel guest when I’ve gone to the parks before so I guess I’m not sure if the park ticket/hotel deal/transport package is worth it in the end when you compare what you’d pay at another hotel and having to either pay for parking at the hotel and Disney or paying for Uber/Lyft all the time........ this is long and I don’t even know what I’m saying anymore but please help lolll [also yeah we’re doing universal too so idk how that impacts it all lolllllll]
